But watching Cloverfield the other day (i gotta admit the creature can pass for a kaiju in my eyes) i thought of the two monsters in a fight. I mean okay, yeh, my chips go all in when it comes to the King, but Clover is darn resilient! It just wouldn't die would it, tanks, missiles, even a stealth bomber payload, but nope, not a scratch, just knocked it over. Its not even confirmed dead. So what I'm saying is, although Godzilla could fight and batter clover everywhere, could he kill it? Or in that sense are they on par?

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-09-2013 7:29 PMI feel Godzilla could kick clovers ass, a fight i would see is Zilla (from the cartoon because that one wasn't killed by the military) v.s. clover.

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-09-2013 8:22 PMThe creature died, they called a nuke strike and they killed it. You can hear the creature dying in the background, in addition the missile strike at the end did hurt it since you can clearly see the creature being hurt while the missiles are firing at him. Godzilla's atomic breath would destroy it definitely if a nuke can. Also I doubt the creature can take hits from the behemoth that is Godzilla, I mean remember he has super strength even for a monster his size. He's thrown kaiju 3x his size into the sky for pete's sake. Clover would get Godzilla pissed at best, which in itself is unwise.

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-11-2013 8:42 AMYou can hear it make sounds, doesn't mean it's dead, but it's probably the easiest thing to assume. J.J. left a bit of space for a sequel, like most movies.
Anyways, if it were to be fair in the slightest, momma clova' would have to be the one fighting, and the "godzilla" would be the one from the Godzilla: The Series.

MemberMothra LarvaeOct-11-2013 2:01 PMI've seen people talk about this one all over the internet, and honestly, it all depends on which version of Godzilla we are talking about. Zilla or the original Godzilla from '54 would be a pretty fair fight, but newer Godzilla would absolutely destroy Clover.

MemberMothra LarvaeDec-11-2013 8:05 AMI cant find the article but no JJ Abrams confirmed the monster died from bombing an that also it was a infant , so it did get taken out by bombing if you go to the site you can find the pic of the boats all in the water an bloody remains just floating
