Deathla as Godzilla's main opponent in the the new movie.

I think that would be Interesting to see, a new Hedorah fight Godzilla maybe it will be a remake movie. Even though I would want to see new monsters, the old ones are still the best.

Well I can say nothing in the trailer indicated as such. Also having talked to Gareth, he said no Toho monsters will be used apart from Godzilla himself. The monsters in the film are going to be original.

I have to agree with LegendaryKaiju11, nothing so far as indicated as such. I have a hard time imagining a monster made of pollution like Deathla fitting into this more "realistic" Godzilla movie. At most, maybe we'll get a new kaiju with some nods to Deathla's design (red skin, skull-like face), but I think Godzilla is going to fight a gigantic reptilian-like or bug-like kaiju. Also, it has been stated that the new movie will feature new opponents for Godzilla. Obviously, Deathla has not been in a movie, but I still think they came up with new creatures.

While I do not know if it will happen, I would love to see an opponent in this movie. Otherwise this would be the 4th movie with just "Godzilla" in it. Technically Deathla is not a Toho monster that has been used before. So saying a Toho monster would not be used would not be a false statement. Paying homage to Hedorah would be great in a new monster. The same type of creationism could be used for the story line in humans and their impact on the environment creating the monster, but with a modern twist. Global warming? That island of pollution floating in the pacific? Nuclear leakage from the Fukushima? Then again that last part could be the story behind creating the newest Godzilla.

Well, the other monster they showed in this year's footage at the Legendary Panel at Comic-Con, not what they showed at the "Godzilla Encounter" that was just Godzilla, didn't resemble anything that looks like any "Deathla" artwork I have seen, and I've seen a lot of Godzilla art! It looked incredibly alien in nature, and, in comparison, reminded me of some combination of other creature designs that I have seen before. I cannot believe with how many people were in Hall H that Saturday morning, that I have not seen anyone else comment on what they saw...,

Godzilla's biggest opponent is Monster Zeromarketingla...so far, Godzilla is losing.. :(

While I'm one of the few in my circle of Godzilla fans to like Godzilla vs Hedorah, I wouldn't want Deathla or any incarnation of Hedorah to be in the american Godzilla movie. I think it's too obscure of a villain to work. It would definitely work in connection to the atomic representation of Godzilla and how we humans kind of treat the earth and science in general but it would just be too weird I think in the first movie to have him fight anything other than a creature of similar origin/ qualities.

i hope its as campy as it can get but with awesome special effects, bring the brother to the monster that got dealt with when godzilla was a tiny thing.

Godzilla's opponents will both be completely new. Deathla, although he never actually appeared in any film, is not new. Besides, Hedorah sucks anyway. @Gabriel Leite, Anguirus won't be in it either. Why are all of you so exciting for this movie, hoping that some old monsters will appear!? Don't any of you want something new!?!?!?
