I like the movie that made the JSDF unwilling to work with toho
HinikunaGoji,
Any new entry has a chance. I like Higuchi and Anno--It certainly has the potential to be something unlike anything that has come before. But topping The Next is a tall, tall order.
It has a chance though
I find the CG very distracting here. I'm looking forward to it nonetheless, but wish there were more practical effects at work here.
It has a very long way to go in order to beat out Ultraman: The Next, which was the last "mature", big event reboot of the franchise.
But hes always done that. And superman does that too.
its just the way he....just.....stays still as he......flys at supersonic speeds.....ITS CREEPY!
I dont think its creepy
ultraman flying around is kinda ominous-creepy. not gonna lie.
my least favorite godzilla movie is Godzilla vs King Ghidorah and Shin Godzilla
that's a good movie just not a great movie in my opinion
generally I like all of the millenium era. (yes. even godzilla vs megaguirus)
godzilla, mothra and king ghidorah giant monsters all-out-attack!
....
and godzilla final wars.
giiiiaaaaaaaaaaagggaaaaiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn!!!11!!!!!1!!!!!!1! RISE!!!!!!11!11!!!!
I tend to flip-flop between Invasion of Astro-Monster and Terror of MechaGodzilla. GMK isn't far behind them though.
HinikunaGoji
Agree, it still fits the man vs nature theme of the godzilla films.
I am so saving that image.
My first Godzilla movie was Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster. What made me a fan? The long plethora of monsters to indulge in. Whether it be Godzilla or Ghidorah, Battra or Monster X, I've always loved a series with hours upon hours of lore and concepts. They're fun to watch, I mean who wouldn't find a giant lizard crushing cities cool? But I like deep-diving into the lore most of all -- thinking about where Ghidorah came from or which is truly the strongest monster, y'know?
I love Ghidorah, so I'm gonna go with Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster. But I also love Godzilla vs Mothra and Terror of Mechagodzilla.
which i thunk would be an interesting theme for a kaiju movie to explore.
do i even have to say it?
The US Military did all the destruction trying to destroy G98.
Godzilla 1954, Godzilla 2014, Godzilla vs Kong, Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters, King Kong vs Godzilla, Godzilla 1984, Godzilla vs Biollante, Godzilla vs Destoroya, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla, Terror of Mechagodzilla, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2, and Godzilla 1998. I need to watch more Godzilla movies to fully make a comprehensible list
Aside from the original 1954 film, my personal favorites would probably include Mothra vs Godzilla, Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster, Godzilla 1984, Godzilla vs Destoroyah, Godzilla 2000, GMK, and Godzilla 2014.
no actually it isn't he did destroy some parts of new York but due to him being the weakest version of Godzilla he was unsuccessful
I hope its like the Predator event for Battlefield, worthwhile
*snicker* oily bananas batman! *double snicker followed by mainiacal laughter*
yes robin! very oily bananas!
An annoying thing in the japanese cut, its just long, and cant decide its plot points, and retracks on them.
i liked the characters but they do nothing. LITERALLY NOTHING
Also why banana oil... I'd never seen that before
I dont play COD, so......
Time to waste my money on a gane that i will only play for a month for this event
oh yes George Takei and the dude that voices Yogi Bear lended their voices for that dub
Yeah, the English dub for Raids Again is really bad. The dub keeps calling Godzilla "Gigantis" because apparently they didn't want audiences to confuse him with Godzilla (yes, really). They keep confusing the monsters' names. It has a narrator that describes things that the audience can clearly see (like telling the audience that jets are flying over the city, while the film shows jets flying over the city). The characters are given overly cartoony voices (one of them sounds like Yogi Bear) and half the time they just say random nonsense that isn't even trying to translate the original Japanese lines, such as the infamous "Banana Oil" line:

They really didn't care while making it...
Also can we note Dr. Yamane just looking like his soul was destroyed in the pciture though?
One detail Ive just grown to accept is that anguirus walks on its kneee
well at least Rodan looks like an early reconstruction of a Pteranodon or at the very least getting the retro-pterosaur/pterodactyl look down. Aside from being an armored reptile, Anguirus is nothing like an ankylosaurus
well Pteranodon became Radon/Rodan even though Anguirus and Rodan looked about as much like an Ankylosaurs and a Pteranodon as much as a Pelican looks like an Eagle or a Armadillo looks like a Pangolin
No i agree with you. Ive never seen the english dub mind you, so i wouldnt know about it.
But the movie isnt bad, but its not good
