I come from a family of heavily mixed ethnicity across Asia. Most of all, I am Taiwan aborigine - Japanese. My people were enslaved by Japanese during the war and persecuted mercilessly if we didn’t throw our ancient culture away and adapt the Japanese lifestyle. I am not sore towards my Japanese family, history is a nasty thing, but I feel for my Japanese family too. They lost everything during the war, experienced Atomic hellfire, and their friends fallen from the aftermath.

Godzilla, has united my family from both ends. Godzilla has created unity, and for that I am grateful beyond words. My Japanese ancestors had been following Godzilla from the very beginning since it first released. My indigenous tribe appreciate the accuracy and respect to our culture portrayed in Mothra’s films. Even since the 1960s, portraying native culture not as cannibalistic savages, but sympathetic beings who have been bothered too many times by invaders. And the lore across Mothra’s character is incredible and contrasts so well to my culture, while still a fresh take in their own right.

I have watched every Godzilla movie since Godzilla VS Biollante (1989) when they debut in theatres whenever I visited my family in Japan, and watched every last Godzilla movie through subsequent home-video release. Over my childhood into my adulthood, I have acquired a vast Godzilla collection, and I love to read the supplemental details from the books and novelization, or the old pamphlets they given out at the theatres.

P.S, I despise the new American Monsterverse with a burning passion, but the 2014 film is okay, before they franchise it.

Monsterzero9, I appreciate the effort. But REIKO is an Operating System, not a pilot.

The Kamoebas in both Go! Godman and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. was likely not the same one in Space Amoeba.

Yeah Kamoebas did survive. Since he was shown in 2003 dead on the beach. But lets talk about it without the volcano.

Plus one didnt kill the other techincally, i mean kamo drags gamines into the volcano, so technically he wins

Agreed. Shin Godzilla's ending never felt like the set up for a sequel. Before the "Cinematic Universe" thing became so popular, plenty of movies had "cliffhangers" that were merely meant to be contained to a theme or motif.

Singular Point actually has unresolved arcs and longstanding, unanswered questions, unlike Shin Godzilla. Of which seem to be purposefully unresolved for a second season.

And again, this wouldn't be Toho leaving it be. It would Orange and Bones studios--Which operates differently and independently of Toho.

The post credit scene of Singular Point seems like the set up for a second season, though I would argue that the endings for both GMK and Shin Godzilla also seemed like they were set ups for sequels as well. Obviously I can't say for sure if Singular Point season 2 will happen or not, but given Toho's track record with the Millennium and Reiwa series constantly resetting the timeline and moving on to the next project, it wouldn't surprise me if Singular Point continued that trend.

Honestly i would be more confused. Ive never thought of shins ending as a cliffhanger, but SP definitely has one, and the credit scene.

Spider-Man is my favorite.

Well, I kinda only watched GVK for Godzilla Vs. Kong.

True, though it still makes me wonder if Singular Point is going to end up like Shin Godzilla, where despite the cliffhanger that sets up a sequel, Toho just leaves it a one and done thing.

Thing is Toho doesn't have to lift a finger for it, much like the Legendary flicks. It's just another case of cashing the check for another studio's use of their property and said studio producing it.

Japanese companies play things absurdly close to the vest, as has been seen since 2013, technically. I'm sure this type of secrecy in the American blockbuster cinema industry would drive people nuts.

Honestly, with the lack of updates and the rumor of a new movie, I'm wondering if Toho's moving on to their next project and potentially leaving Singular Point as a one-off.

Eh, I mostly watch creature movies for the creatures. I am not much of a people person. Its the reason why I have trouble writing human characters

The show is overall really good, aside from the finale.

I had given up on Marvel before reaching WandaVision, not a huge fan of Scarlet Witch nor Vision

The problem I have with the Alpha Role, was not because of the Deific Idea but rather the alpha animal social structure is an outdated scientific concept. Since the concept was made observing captive wolves instead of wild ones.

If it happens, it likely won't be announced officially until close to the release. Singular Point was being worked on for two years before a leak revealed its existence and 2.5 years before the official announcement.

And also, Biollante would tie into the themes of G'14 and KOTM well.  Which is why I set that specific Titan up.

I did like WandaVision, so hopefully we can get some interesting and more fleshed out humans...

How about in my versions of both KOTM and GVK, the Titans believe Godzilla is THE alpha when he really is a balancer.  So we compromise.

Unfortunately there has not been an official announcement for Spider Man: Singular Point by netflix.

So it could be possible that it may not happen.

Maybe we are getting the kaiju attenborough documentary,

Prehistoric Planet and Origins.

I honestly like the Deific idea they went for in KOTM, but they half abandoned it in GVK whoch just makes the whole situation weird.
