As far as I agree with Xenotaris to make other movies, I think a sequel about Godzilla vs Kong is very weird. I mean Godzilla and Kong shouldn't continue fighting. They decided to not fight anymore and boom! They fight again haha!
Not much is really known about the full story yet, however, based on a recent plot description, the film will apparently focus on Kong and Monarch exploring the Hollow Earth and encountering "new mysterious creatures" that threaten life on Earth. With the confirmation of Godzilla being in the film, it's likely that some of these new creatures will escape the Hollow Earth and threaten life on the surface, which might result in Godzilla and Kong having to join forces to stop the threat.
The film's working title, "Origins", also suggests that the film will also explore the history of the Titans.
As cool as a solo Mothra or Rodan movie would be, I'm not sure how well it would do. Mothra and Rodan sadly aren't as widely known as Godzilla and Kong, so movies specifically focusing on them might not draw as much attention. Unfortunately (unlike Marvel and DC) the MonsterVerse still isn't at the point where it can afford to have too many box office failures. King of the Monsters underperforming and receiving mixed/mediocre reviews was pretty detrimental to the series and if Godzilla vs Kong hadn't been a hit, the MonsterVerse might not have continued. Sadly I don't think that Legendary are willing to take that risk (not at the moment at least).
why Godzilla vs Kong again? Why not have a movie that focus on Mothra, Rodan or Ghidorah?
I wish more people were team Mothra
That would be awesome
Yeah, I hope they eventually release an extended cut, since they've been teasing it since 2014. Plus, there's several cut scenes that the fandom has been wanting to see for a while, like Akira Takarada's cameo.
I will continue to observe the member population.
But still, Team Godzilla would remain the highest member streak and would take a long time for the other teams to keep up though.
Actually, this is Godzilla Desolation. A fan movie that I embarrassingly said that it was a new movie but it wasn't, just fan art.
but I don't know if they have any other ideas for the sequel.
I can't wait, it might take decades like Alien Director's Cut
UPDATE 8/16/2022:
After 14 weeks, tracking for Shin Ultraman has ended with 4.38 Billion Yen ($33.7 Million) and 2.95 Million in attendance. It ends its run as 6th highest grossing film of the year so far. It is the 4th highest grossing domestic Japanese film of the year and #1 highest grossing live-action Japanese film of the year. It is the 9th highest opening of the year. It will likely drop a little, but remain in the top 10 highest grossing for the year.
We'll see if there's any change to its final total next February when the final numbers are released for every film.
I've been a big fan of Godzilla movies most of my life but what really got me back into Godzilla in recent years was watching Shin Godzilla and Gojira yesterday and ereyesterday. Really wish more Godzilla films captured the energy of those two. MGK is a really good contender although I have to admit that a part of me likes the cheesy beat-em-ups like GvK and Final Wars.
I'll see if my brother would want to support you.

UPDATE 8/12/2022:
No major updates from its 13th weekend. However, when Official Ultraman sources announced that Shin Ultraman would be getting a world wide release, it noted that the film had hit 4.38 Billion Yen and 2.95 Million in attendance. Not a massive move of the needle, but notable as it's from official sources.
Charts updated.

Actually, Somebody help me delete this. There is no date, trailer or any evidence, just delete this.
Dang it, I forgot to put the image!
Also he looks the coolest

I think they would, if they weren't I would be extremely sad due to Rodan being my 2nd favorite kaiju.
Yeah, it would be weird if they didn't return in some way (and kind of a missed opportunity). Hopefully we get to see them in future installments.
I hope so, I would be very disappointed if they don't
ah yes, Yakuza, Kiryu Kazuma is the best Yakuza protagonist along side Goro Majima
UPDATE 8/02/2022:
The 12th weekend actuals for Shin Ultraman saw it hit 4.37 Billion Yen ($33.6 Million). Attendance is 2.94 Million. Showings have been reduced to about one a day. Theaters are pulling it, but the studio has yet to announce an end date. Looks like it will just miss 3 Million in attendance.
Charts finally updated.
Also it has the name of my favorite Sega character Kazuma Kiryu

Kiryu is cool and so is MV Mechagodzilla
Kiryu had the best Mechagodzilla design in my opinion.
Oh wow more people voted for the Rubble Crab
UPDATE 7/29/2022:
Details on the 11th weekend came up short for various reasons. A Toho Press Announcement lists Shin Ultraman at around 4.34 Billion Yen, putting it at an estimated attendance of 2.92 Million. According to Eiga Ranking Shin Ultraman is going into its 12th weekend with an estimated 4.36 Billion Yen and an estimated 2.93 Million in attendance. I'll update charts after this weekend.
