My top two favorite Godzilla designs are the MekaGyakushuGoji, aka MegaroGoji-C Type from 1975 and the Hokaido GhidoGoji from 1991.
Long Live The Kings!
I voted 7, It wasnt the best Godzilla Movie IMO.
My favorite Godzilla would probably be..............Godzilla Agaisnt Mechagodzilla's Godzilla.
I like the Godzillas that are in the Heisei era and the Legendary era. Including final wars and some of the Showa Godzillas.
From most favorite design to least, Godzilla 2014, Godzilla 2019/2021, Burning Godzilla 2019, Godzilla 1954, Zilla/Godzilla 1998 (including animated), Zilla 2004, Heisei Godzilla (1989-1995), Burning Godzilla 1995, Heisei Godzilla 1984, Godzilla 1999, Godzilla 2000, Godzilla 2002/Godzilla 2003, Godzilla 2004, Godzilla 2001, Early Showa Godzilla (1955 and 1962), Late Showa Godzilla (1968-1975), Middle Showa Godzilla (1963-1967), Godzilla Singular Point 2020, Godzilla anime (2017-2018), then Shin Godzilla
I honestly like all of the mechagodzillas
Thak you for commenting on my first post I just started
Those are pretty good I like thermo 2019,1995,2021,1970s,1990s
This is a pretty hard question for me.
If I were to list some of my favorite Godzilla movies (in order of release), it would probably be.
Godzilla/Gojira (1954),
Mothra vs. Godzilla,
Ghidorah: the Three-Headed Monster,
Invasion of Astro Monster,
Godzilla (1984),
Godzilla vs. Biollante,
Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II
Godzilla vs. Destoroyah,
Godzilla 2000,
GMK: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack,
Godzilla (2014),
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019),
Godzilla vs. Kong.
The history of the Gojira/Kong war will probably only be part of the movie. The recent plot description mentioned that new hostile creatures found in the Hollow Earth will play a big role in the story.
I wouldn't want that to be the main subject for 1 hour, sorry for spamming there's a glitch.
Then, doesn't it mean this sequel will be boring and only talk about the history of Godzilla and Kong's hostilities.

Why was the poll edited? When it was first posted it was 1-5, but now it's 1-10, which makes it look like the movie was given very low scores. I put a 3/5 but now it looks like a 3/10. Unfortunately I can't change my vote.
I don't think Kong and Godzilla will fight again (at the very least, I don't think it will be the main focus of the film). A sequel doesn't necessarily mean a rematch, just a continuation of the story. "Godzilla vs Kong 2" is just a placeholder title, since we don't know what the actual title will be. It's more likely that they might have to team up to face some other threat, as the recent plot description implies. They may explore the ancient Gojira and Kong war that they set up in GvK though.
Also, yes, Godzilla vs Kong was a pretty big success, both critically and financially, being one of the first major hits since the pandemic started. It was also big hit for HBO Max, having one of the most successful launches on the streaming service. Its success is the main reason why the MonsterVerse is continuing, since before its release, it was unknown if the series would continue afterwards. King of the Monster's underperformance and poor critical reception caused a lot of problems for the series, so a lot was riding on Godzilla vs Kong's performance. Thankfully, it turned out well.
But cool to see the action again. I didn't know Godzilla vs Kong was a hit.
As far as I agree with Xenotaris to make other movies, I think a sequel about Godzilla vs Kong is very weird. I mean Godzilla and Kong shouldn't continue fighting. They decided to not fight anymore and boom! They fight again haha!
Not much is really known about the full story yet, however, based on a recent plot description, the film will apparently focus on Kong and Monarch exploring the Hollow Earth and encountering "new mysterious creatures" that threaten life on Earth. With the confirmation of Godzilla being in the film, it's likely that some of these new creatures will escape the Hollow Earth and threaten life on the surface, which might result in Godzilla and Kong having to join forces to stop the threat.
The film's working title, "Origins", also suggests that the film will also explore the history of the Titans.
As cool as a solo Mothra or Rodan movie would be, I'm not sure how well it would do. Mothra and Rodan sadly aren't as widely known as Godzilla and Kong, so movies specifically focusing on them might not draw as much attention. Unfortunately (unlike Marvel and DC) the MonsterVerse still isn't at the point where it can afford to have too many box office failures. King of the Monsters underperforming and receiving mixed/mediocre reviews was pretty detrimental to the series and if Godzilla vs Kong hadn't been a hit, the MonsterVerse might not have continued. Sadly I don't think that Legendary are willing to take that risk (not at the moment at least).
why Godzilla vs Kong again? Why not have a movie that focus on Mothra, Rodan or Ghidorah?
I wish more people were team Mothra
That would be awesome
Yeah, I hope they eventually release an extended cut, since they've been teasing it since 2014. Plus, there's several cut scenes that the fandom has been wanting to see for a while, like Akira Takarada's cameo.
I will continue to observe the member population.
But still, Team Godzilla would remain the highest member streak and would take a long time for the other teams to keep up though.
Actually, this is Godzilla Desolation. A fan movie that I embarrassingly said that it was a new movie but it wasn't, just fan art.
but I don't know if they have any other ideas for the sequel.
I can't wait, it might take decades like Alien Director's Cut
UPDATE 8/16/2022:
After 14 weeks, tracking for Shin Ultraman has ended with 4.38 Billion Yen ($33.7 Million) and 2.95 Million in attendance. It ends its run as 6th highest grossing film of the year so far. It is the 4th highest grossing domestic Japanese film of the year and #1 highest grossing live-action Japanese film of the year. It is the 9th highest opening of the year. It will likely drop a little, but remain in the top 10 highest grossing for the year.
We'll see if there's any change to its final total next February when the final numbers are released for every film.
I've been a big fan of Godzilla movies most of my life but what really got me back into Godzilla in recent years was watching Shin Godzilla and Gojira yesterday and ereyesterday. Really wish more Godzilla films captured the energy of those two. MGK is a really good contender although I have to admit that a part of me likes the cheesy beat-em-ups like GvK and Final Wars.
I'll see if my brother would want to support you.
