Mothra leo is armor mothra.
You mean Mothra Leo?
And that just proves my point! One of the strongest Ghidorahs ever was killed by a bug!
Grand ghidorah was killed by armor mothra...
Also... since when was any Godzilla invincible? Every single incarnation has either died or sustained damage at some point, especially Legendary. I mean, he almost got killed by two mutos for christ's sake! He almost got killed by a human weapon! And dragons aren't really invincible either in the Godzilla universe... especially not Ghidorah... RIP King Ghidorah... And Keizer Ghidorah... And Desghidorah... And Grand King Ghidorah...
Welp,Scified is dead,we are the only ones on Scified...
PLEASE SAVE SCIFIED!
... Or watch the 1954 Godzilla movie...
Someone needs to get more educated...
Beat you to the punch on that one.
I'm unsure if Godzilla will win, even though I want him too, because Dougherty said it would be an underdog fight... so I'm a tad worried... but I think, unless they want KOTM all over again, Godzilla has to win.
So... who wants to break it to him that no incarnation of Godzilla is a dragon?
That's burning Godzilla, one of the strongest atomic breaths ever seen. Also, Legendary can only go into burning in VERY select conditions. His atomic breath has a much shorter range, and he can only do it from one angle while Shin could use it from almost any angle possible. Also, we've seen Legendary Godzilla's atomic breath accidentally hit a building, and it destroys the building as if though he were "pushing" it over, so it's more of a kinetic force thing than the lazerish thing we see with Shin. Shin Godzilla's breath, however, cut straight through multiple buildings in a row with no signs of stopping. It cut straight through steel, concrete, just about everything in its path.
Also... dragon? In no origin story, to my knowledge, is Godzilla a dragon... Dinosaur in one, but not dragon. And why the heck would shin turn to water? And if he did get all that radiation, HE WOULD ADAPT. He would adapt to either A. be able to handle that much radiation or B. use that radiation to make himself a lot stronger. Also, who says he would "meltdown" from going burning?
Wait, how do they determine if you're "online?" Does that just mean you're logged in, or do you have to be on the site?
You know what else was awesome in that video?
*Spoilers Ahead* (YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!)
That Monsterverse Ghidorah reference at the end. That was amazing. Can't wait for Part 2 to see what's next.
@KaijuWorld: I may have phrased that poorly. I meant comparatively speaking, while in '14 and KoTM the beam attacks can be seen punching holes in buildings, they're relatively slow and kind of just slam into other monsters. In his movie, Shin's beam can slice through everything it touches with impunity. While I grant you kaiju hide is probably tougher than your average building, I personally don't see how Shin's attacks wouldn't just cut straight through Legendary like they do other large objects. And true, Shin would theoretically have to adapt to fighting monsters and would probably not make it out the first round with his current abilities. I'm not trying to undermine the exemplary work that went into this animation, it is a fantastic spectacle, I'm just saying that I imagined the specifics of the fight a little differently.
Well, we don't know that. I am 90% sure Godzilla will win (and I hope he does), but nothing has been confirmed as of right now.
Ah yes and Shin Godzilla's atomic breath is not op,final wars Godzilla's,Burning Godzilla's (1995),Godzilla earth's atomic breath is stronger.
Sorry, but where do you get the idea that Legendary Godzilla is invincible? Both in 2014 and KotM, there are moments where Godzilla is either badly damaged, unconscious or almost killed.
Also, one thing I think most of us need to remember is that Shin Godzilla's atomic breath was designed to destroy cities and not to fight or defend from other monsters. So saying it is OP is really unfair to the person who made this fight possible.
Shing Goji fanboys...
Broke our King's crown of plates I meant
Godzilla's revenge is good for kids and it dont take the Reptile Dragon heritage from Godzilla. I agree shin is the worst film ever. I was frankly super pissed Legendary got a scratch from shin. Legendary Godzilla should not be affected by shin's o.p. Laser breath. Sure it looks more powerful but just because he uses it on the city. We NEVER seen the full potential of Godzilla's breath first off seeing he never used it on us and Godzilla can turn into fire Godzilla where shin would try to go to water and melt down instead got going fucking super sayian infinite. Legendary Godzilla should be invincible but they killed Dagon and broke out king's crown of plates to regenerate then into 54. Bullshit. He is immune to damage and immortal. Should just grow naturally. A true Dragon cannot be harmed. King Ghidorah rules! He should never loose a head or die. Legendary Heisei Mellenium and Showa. Fucking ALL DRAGONS ARE INVINCIBLE AND SHIN IS NO DRAGON. SAVE GHIDORAH HAIL TIAMAT!!!!
As much as I loved Legendary, I honestly never thought for a second he would win. Shin's beam attacks are just too OP, I was frankly surprised he didn't end up sliced to pieces.
It was definitely a drastic departure from the norm, but I actually ended up considering Shin one of my favorite G-flicks. Now granted, I actually enjoyed the human political drama, which I understand is really boring for some, but aside from that it's objectively a pretty well-executed film, even if the monster design isn't to your liking. I'd argue something more like Godzilla's Revenge is worse from a filmmaking perspective, but as far as preference goes each is entitled to their own opinion, so I won't press the issue.
Yeah, hating a damn quote, thats weird as the name calling thing,ALSO DON'T BUT YOUR REAL NAME AS YOUR PROFILE NAME AND DON'T PUT YOUR REAL FACE ON YOUR USER PIC!
I hoped that Legendary won because Shin Godzilla is by far the worst Godzilla movie.
Zilla partially covers this original idea granted he was killed off by F-18s, he has similar origins to Godzilla 1954. I still consider Zilla a type of Godzilla
Allegedly, Toho wants to phase out the dubs altogether. I'm not sure how likely it will be that many dubs get released in the future.
Yeah same here. I'm just hoping this set does well so that by 2024 they can start on a Heisei and Millennium set and maybe do an ultimate Shòwa set with both cuts and commentaries
Well, it's more like Shin Godzilla was supposed to be true to the initial idea of Godzilla, something born from the mistakes of man, wreaks devastation as a consequence of our actions and can only be killed through some special kind of weapon that would only worsen humanity's fate because of our innate need to create weapons out of even the most harmless of things.
The reason it took until 2016 is because most movies between the original and Shin Godzilla made Godzilla into a kind of hero or anti-hero, instead of a villain born from our own mistakes and most of what it does is OUR fault.
Also, I meant ORIGINAL idea of Godzilla, not the whole idea. Sorry about that.
I meant to say if Shin Godzilla was the True Godzilla idea of Godzilla why did it take until 2016 to make it so?
damn why can't I use the edit button!
I don't think there is one true idea of Godzilla. I mean if Shin Godzilla was a True Godzilla it wouldn't take until 2016 to make a "true Godzilla"
Zilla was supposed to be a more realistic take on Godzilla because in real-life something like Shin Godzilla couldn't possibly exist, kaiju size not withstanding, a multi-cellar organism rapidly "evolving" like a virus is unscientific.
"Shin turns to stone"
What, does firing his atomic breath make him act as though he saw Medusa?
"Shin turns to stone"
I think that's enough internet for you.
... wut?
I mean... his atomic breath is a lot more powerful than Legendary's, enough he could probably pierce Legendary's hide with it pretty easily. Shin can also adapt to almost any condition, even to become smaller. If he loses, he can just adapt to the perfect legendary killing weapon. Legendary's main advantage is speed and melee...
Also... Zilla? Shin Godzilla was meant to be true to the IDEA of Godzilla, not to the form per say. Zilla wasn't even true to that.
... what does screwing over Ghidorah have to do with anything? Most Kaiju fans LOVE Ghidorah...
But let's just agree to disagree on that one, I guess...
