...That may actually be the case, because Kongs arms are FRICKIN HUGE
To me it looks like the largest spine has been torn off.
Loved this film. Destroyah looks like the devil incarnate.
The music that plays as Godzilla dies is one of the few movie-related things in life that legitimately moves me to tears.
MinecraftDinoKaiju Don't you think that's being a little too...I don't know the proper term, but don't ya think that's going a little too far?
This was awesome. I do wish that they followed up on what happened to Godzilla Jr. afterward. I know it's wishful thinking, but I hope that's what they're going for in Toho's new World of Godzilla.
(Otherwise, why else would they bring the Heisei design back from obscurity?)
If they even mess up one little detail in the lead up to this film, I will officially be done with the Monsterverse.
JJGYET
Well, you could go work for Legendary and get a job as a researcher who provides logical analyses into the impossible things they put into the movies and explain why it actually IS possible.
Anyways, thank you for allowing me to see that the scene actually is possible, because that makes it that much better!
Godzilla gonna die. Rip Gojira.
Godzilla gonna die. Rip Gojira.
I don't want him to be the bad guy.
I'm Scared Godzilla is gonna be the bad guy.
I can confirm something. (SPOILERS!)
Neither dies. The final battle is just the two duking it out.
Not the official, but still looks awesome!
LONG LIVE THE KING (GODZILLA)!!!
MAY GODZILLA BBQ KONG!!!

MAY GODZILLA BBQ KONG!!!
I just wish I could get payed to use all this knowledeg ahah
JJGYET Oh, so you actually have some experience with this kind of stuff? Nice.
"we lose BTW"
Yeah, I thought as much.
@JurassicKaiju14
I appreciate that I did a stint in the Marine Corp and spent a lot of downtimes researching the feasibility of real-life military weaponry against TOHO Kaiju just because I am just like that. (we lose BTW)
So I saw this and immediately knew it was in my wheelhouse.
I will say I messed up slightly, Godzilla Needs closer to 200 ft in width to stand (my measure was his actual foot width oops) but that still is small enough for him to stand on the deck.
JJGYET "The Argo, at best estimate, is only about 400 ft wide so whoever used that as an example of why this would work, I'm confused as to your logic."
Guilty as charged. I was just kinda throwing out possible explanations there.
But I like you're analysis. I'm not the biggest expert on aircraft carriers, but it seems like you've got this down to a science. Nice job.
His spines look the same size tbh.
That's just me though.
Since people are apparently ready to drop this movie because this seems "Impossible"
Let's do some math.
Legendary confirmed that their Godzilla's tail is 550 feet and 4 inches long and based on what we can tell from films he has about 60ft between the outside of each of his feet.
The Argo, at best estimate, is only about 400 ft wide so whoever used that as an example of why this would work, I'm confused as to your logic.
However:
The largest Known marine-based Aircraft Carriers; Nimitz-class carriers have a length of 1,092 roughly twice the length of Godzilla's tail and 252 ft wide, roughly 4 times as wide as Godzilla needs to stand.
So in size, they do fit.
So let's talk about the ship sinking, as appears to be the larger concern.
A Nimitz-Class Carrier displaces 106,300 t of water, Godzilla alone in MV weighs 99,634 t, meaning in order for a Nimitz-class not to sink Kong would have to weigh more than 6,666 t to sink it.
Kong only weighted 158 t in Skull Island and was 104ft Tall
In the footage, he appears to be roughly Godzilla Height, which comes out to 393 ft.
So for simplicity's sake, lets scale Kong to that.
A 393 ft Kong would weigh, 597 t roughly.
So this is NOT impossible physics wise, not for them to be STANDING on it at least.
Rather Godzilla Climbing on board, or them fighting on it, is feasible would be a lot more to math, but it IS feasible that they could be doing this on board a Nimitz-class Carrier and it stay afloat as they do so.
Probably any one-liner from 98. They're all so stupidly funny.
Gojira2020 I think it's just the angle of the shot.
is it just me or is godzillla fatter?
JHT No, it definitely looks like they tapered out the end of the tail. Look at the bottom right corner. That's clearly his tail right there.

MinecraftDinoKaiju "The "Ghidorah in Chains topic" should really have its own forum, because this is really getting out of hand."
Agreed.
Is it just me or does the neck look a bit taller?
I have yet to actually watch Godzilla Final Wars
I will be honest. I was physically and emotionally abused as a child. Godzilla films helped me escape. I was also sick constantly. I did not go outside. I could not play with other children. Godzilla was an outlet for me.
Actually I think his tail looks the same as it did in kotm it's just in this scene the end of his tail dips behind some fog and/or into the way and that is why it looks different.

These are great. Thank you.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my Godzilla! I am sooooooo punked for this movie! I can’t believe that we have to wait eleven months until it comes out! My mom says Kong’s going to kick Godzilla’s butt, which I hope is not true.
It looks good, but we need a clearer image before we can say for sure.
The "Ghidorah in Chains topic" should really have its own forum, because this is really getting out of hand.
Well, technically someone could write a fight where a LITERAL mosquito kills Godzilla by being heat and radiation resistant, biting his eye, giving him a heat resistant and radiation resistant form of malaria that also happens to affect his species, and he slowly dies. More plausible than the military ever doing anything against him lol
That is true. Or some mosquitos could intervene and help kill Superman, like always. (Mosquitos being humans, of course.)
Dat's da ticket.
Good. I love the KOTM redesign.
