^Exactly. I enjoy this site now and then, but I really wish it wouldn't post speculation and rumors for the sake of keeping things going. It get misinterpreted and the hype machine supplied by fans go from rumor to "fact" all too quickly.

I will, as always, take information from this site with a grain of salt. As a fan created and maintained website, it is unreliable for information beyond what is already confirmed to be true such as pictures that go up, a poster or two, and perhaps an interview. When it comes to "predicting" information and other such aspects of soon to arrive movies, this site is rubbish. The fact that the fans help further the hype by misinterpreting information provided doesn't help much either. They November 3rd date was always fan speculation, and it even said as much on the article here on this site that it was so. Yet fans and other website members took it as truth and now are incredibly disappointed and pissed off.

I don't think you should use "thick skulls" in your post. It might offend some people.

The source is a film journalist/insider that probably attended the event in Italy. It sounds like he asked a WB representative there.

@Guyvers Bane Oh boy. Where do I start with this one. First of all did Legendary ever say they were gonna release a trailer today? No they did not. Second of all they don't care about the franchise? It,s possible that they could release the Godzilla trailer for the hobbit movie in the internet too show the others if that's possible that would be awesome if they did but also don't get pissed at WB still legendary and WB are doing a pretty good job at this movie even no we still don't get the trailer today we can still celebrate Godzilla,s birthday

Well I for one am pissed. They claim to wanna pay homage to Godzilla with this reboot, so a trailer release on his birthday, today that is, would have been the best way to do it! Its obvious they don't care about the franchise, just the money they can get out the fans. And I refuse to go see the hobbit just to see Godzilla. WB Will not get a cent out of me until the movie releases next year.

Well now i have to wait for a mouth too see the Godzilla trailer i just hope WB don't play another trick on us but im going to be fine with the Dec Godzilla trailer.

Godzilla was made by Legendary. As was the Godzilla encounter. They only have to market the film. nothing else. They had nothing to do with the director either. All credit goes to Legendary. Not WB. Sorry.

Great idea, especially on a grand scale like GTA Online... would be a massive game, and lots of fun! Hopefully we will all get such a monster MMO someday!

@DURPOO4 While the source might not be credible. It's highly likely they might release a trailer. Not only is The Hobbit going to be big. But it's the perfect time to release a trailer.

@MIKETHEG7453 Yeah, WB doesn't care for Godzilla. That's why they did the Godzilla Encounter event at Comic Con, that's why they hired a Godzilla fan to direct it, and that's why they're DOING a friggin' Godzilla movie. Yeah, WB despises Godzilla. As far as I know, with the Hobbit out of the way, Godzilla will be their next biggest film. So advertising it at the Hobbit film will be a no-brainer. Of course their true marketing of the movie will start next year. That's a whole damn season to advertise the film. With the world famous name Godzilla has, it doesn't take long to inform people. In addition, "early next year" ranges anywhere from January to May 16th, with the Hobbit premiering in December that's not a lot of time to wait for their publicity tour.

HA! some of you seem to think WB has respect for the Godzilla franchise, and are really pushing this film. WB did state on Friday that they were going to launch a huge publicity tour for the movie. EARLY NEXT YEAR! ...like I keep on saying . NEXT YEAR!

Nothing. The most we can hope for is a trailer on the new hobbit movie, but wouldn't really hold my breath for that.

"Warner Bros. also brought an [size=200]extended trailer[/size] for Godzilla, the big-budget thriller expected to be released next year." So they got an extended trailer to watch in Italy. Wonder if that means it was an extended trailer of the 2012 SDCC or the 2013 SDCC?

March a bit of a stretch?! HA! If anything, we'll get a trailer before The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug.

It's not optimism you were promoting, just wrong information. It doesn't take an industry expert to know most businesses work Mon-Fri and that includes the corporate film industry. Not to mention I've never heard of a specific trailer being released on a weekend. That said, I agree we'll probably be getting a trailer before year's end. March is a bit of a stretch: Both [i]X-Men Day of Future Past[/i] and [i]Captain America: Winter Soldier[/i] have trailers out, so the time is clearly nearing.

@MIKETHEG7453 March? Seriously? They won't wait until next year. Beyond the six month mark with all these big movies like Thor and the Hobbit. Godzilla is a huge name and has famous actors like Bryan Cranston in it. Although advertising it sooner would've been better. Expect the trailer within the next month.
