its very possible that this will happen. the super bowl a very big event and would be a perfect time to show a teaser. then again lets not get our hopes up.
LOL, i wanna see that happening!
Show him GINO, that would give him a heart attack...lol.
But seriously, there is two things that can kill him; Another monster (IT HASNT HAPPEND, BUT KEIZER GHIDORAH OR DESTOROYAH COULD MAYBE DO IT) and the oxygen destroyer. Nothing more, nothing less. Atleast from what i remember.
hitting his second brain would kill him
mechagodzilla (kiryu) and fire rodan
Godzilla does have 2 arms if he had 4 arms that would make him A mortal kombat fighter
1.Godzilla vs Destroyah
2.Godzilla 2000
Godzilla King of the monsters
Actually i like them all they each had big time fire power kiryu had the most interesting back ground the original from 74 was the most menacing. I mean really missiles, rockets, plasma rays eye beams, a sonic beam force shield made from his rotating head, g chrusher, and the dimension tide weapon. Mecha godzillas are the most lethal force the big fella has faced!
*sigh*...Look, King of the monster where never a true title as far as i know. It started out as just an underscore to the american re-edit. The tite, however, became popular with the fans and eventually a godzilla comic book series used the title because of popularity. But its still a thing the fans call him. Now for your question;
Of course he is, why wouldnt he be? Its still the same monster. Its like Batman 89 and Batman Begins, its the same character with a few differences. So he will still be the king of the monsters for the fans.
And as everyone else has already mentioned, destroyer of the worlds was just a trailer thing. Besides, IF (Its if, i know it isnt) it was canon wouldnt the MUTO be the destroyer of worlds? The trailer said multi-armed form. And im pretty sure Godzilla only have two arms.
I'm very surprised on the original concept of Bagan honestly, yea it looks very weir and strange, but i still think either concept can be used. Bagan needs a chance and deserves a chance in a Godzilla film. Regardless of how many people don't like the monster. And if it is in a movie, hell that means more people will go watch to see Bagans butt get kicked! But i highly doubt that will just happen. People neve give anything new or unused a chance anymore. It's rediculous..and sad
Ray godzilla,s gender is unknown but i know he,s a boy
Some of you seem to have a fascination with Godzilla being female. He's not a female. Don't don't call him the "King" of the monsters for nothing. Enough.
It\'s incredible that your able to do this with hard monsters like Gigan or Orga. Thanks for doing Biollante. I know it was a hard request to do Biollante. Good choice on the firestick cactus. I also couldn't believe the the arms on Mononykus.
But if someone dies, it would be a good plot twist, like Captain Stacy died in Amazing Spider-Man or Kirk dieing in Star Trek: Into Darkness.
There is no Destoroyah in this movie...
To be perfectly honest, I think that all games involving Godzilla have sucked. They were entertaining for about 10 minutes, but they gold very old, very fast.
They just didn't capture the might and majesty of what it meant to be a Kaiju. I think that when they designed the game they were thinking too much about mortal combat and less about being a Kaiju. They all felt very contrived and very poorly thought out, and to this day I don't care for a single game involving the Big-G. They just didn't do him justice.
A Godzilla anime won't happen and it will never happen. You know why? Because it just wouldn\'t work.
Ebirah, How did it feel when Godzilla tore your arm off?
Lol American Godzilla would never go around tokyo saying IM A GIRL xD but it would be funny if he did
These are amazing! Legendary should hire you to do the design work!
"Godzilla" and "King of the Monsters" are synonymous
2 i'm good at gigan and destroyah gigan=ABODEM SAW dstroyah=MICRO OXYGEN HORN KATINA!!!!!!
Godzilla always will have movies, and he will never disappear, just like Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies or T-Rex.
With a story and concept like Godzilla/Gojira, I doubt it would "fade away". Just look at comic book super heros such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman, and Iron Man for example. Re-makes have been done of them for years, long after their first concept came into light.
@XXSABERBLACKCROW: I assume the "Destroyer of Worlds" would be the new title, but we will have to wait for the movie/trailer to be positive. Still, the thought of our Godzilla being a girl has a certain appeal. For a realistic stand point, she could spawn 1 large child to continue the legacy (inspired from the the Toho Gojira raising Minilla).
My mind must be crazy too, for I'm imagining a more cartoonish scene where the humans are screaming "The King of Monsters is attacking!" and the annoyed Godzilla screams (in Kaiju Language) "I'm a girl! Can't you tell?!"
Wait so The destroyer of worlds is going too be a new title for king of monsters that sounds kinda confusing but if the destroyer of worlds means king of monsters then im good with it
And also American Godzilla gender in unknown but i do no Godzilla is a boy it would be crazy if Godzilla was a girl
Based on the comments Edwards gave our Godzilla, plus the leaked Comic Con trailer, I think "The Destroyer of Worlds" is the new title instead of "King of Monsters".
Plus, as I recall the Japanese version of the 1954 Gojira film "he" wasn't used to describe the monster, but neutral terms like "it" instead. If this same thing is used in the 2014 film, we the viewers wouldn't truly know if our Godzilla was a he or not. Think of it, in real life, how would we the citizens of a city really know the gender of Godzilla?
Im going too guess that Godzilla is still going too be the king of the monsters face it if Godzilla was the destroyer of worlds he would have too go around the world too even destroy the world >.>
The guy is going to own that screen. "Destroyer of World" or "King of the Monsters" either title will perfectly describe him as the boss that he is.
@GODZILLAFAN1995: Ghidorah, the most famous enemy of Gojira. How about this as a realistic counterpart...
Classic Toho Monster #8: King Ghidorah
Species: Three-Headed Dragon
Height: 140 Meters
Abilities: Flight; Lightning-like Gravity Beams; Constricting necks
My Legendary Pictures Counterpart: [No Name Yet]
Species: Hybrid of White-throated Needletail/Peregrine Falcon/Anaconda/Electric Eel/Angler Fish (genetics to provide the additional heads)
Height: 50 meters taller than 2014 American Godzilla size
Abilities: Flight, Constricting tail, Tough scales, Lightning Breath.
Reason For Species Selection: King Ghidorah has always shown to be a wyvern, only upright. Wyverns are dragons but without the front legs. When one hears "wyvern", they think of the bat-like design typically seen. My personal favorite is the Monster Hunter game series version of a Wyvern. Despite having the typical dragon wings, even the dragon-like head and scales, their body design isn't bat-like but bird like! The wings are folded on the sides like a bird, and the fly/move like a bird! This is a much stronger design than a bat's design. The Peregrine is the fastest bird in terms of the high dive. The Needletail is the fastest bird in terms of wing flapping. The Anaconda is the strongest constricting snake, a must have for our Ghidorah counterpart. Like my Orga counterpart, this monster uses a similar Lightning Breath method, but due to the larger size this creature has more electical strength. The scales can be modified to be tougher, yet light enough to still allow flight. The 'tough scales' could help it vs claw attacks (and a lot of standard military/airforce attacks) from 2014 USA Godzilla, but blunt attacks (like the tail attack from our Godzilla) and the Atomic Breath would get through. 'Gravity Beams' or tractor beams aren't fully possible yet. At most we can move microscopic stuff, so the science behind massive objects is unknown.
The reason why people are in too the teaser because they been waiting so long for s trailer so they got pumped up about so now they still talking about it
That monologue from the trailer was just a quote from some1 on the Manhattan project as godzilla being a byproduct of some type of nuclear energy matched that well. He\'s not going to be coined the \"Destroyer of Worlds\" now.
People are reading way to much into that trailer.
Eh, I guess I'd rather see Bagan make an appearance than Ghidorah, Mothra, MechaG, or either Kumonga or Kamacuras.
But besides those 5 he's pretty low on my list of monsters I'd like to see incorperated into a Legendary movie
I'm fairly certain there will always be more Godzilla movies. Even if the Legendary movie fails I'd bank on more being made in the future. It might be 20-30 years later, but at some point someone will come around and make another. It's a time defying franchise.
Just to clear up any misunderstanding, I did not draw this picture. This is Toho's concept art for the original design for Bagan in the 1980s. (Although I do beleive a fan site colored it.) Can't say I love it either, but it's still more interesting than the later design.
ah yea the reason why I like Godzilla
well It all started when i was a little boy, my father would always tell me about how huge the beast was and how incredible th monster was. When I was 8 years old my father took me to a flea market and there were 2 Godzilla films on VHS. Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla and Godzilla 1985. Godzilla 1985 scared the piss out of me when i first watched it. Then I watched Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla. I was so amazed how much fighting there is in the film i was automaticly hooked! Then later i use to rent Godzilla vs Biollante and that was the scariest movie i saw because of how monstrous Biollante is. Then I saw Godzilla 2000, and well since then i was hooked like hell.
could the mutos be like destroyah
nice descriptions
how about king ghidorah
@XXSABERBLACKCROW: I too hope the CGI is cool/well done. I knew it was a matter of time before someone picked Gigan. He seems a tricky one to do, but I think I have a good realistic counterpart.
Classic Toho Monster #7: Gigan
Species: Alien Cyborg
Height: 120 Meters
Abilities: Flight at mach 3; can fire a Cluster Light Ray from its eye; claws; buzzsaw in abdomen; blades instead of hands; able to fire two grappling cables from each blade-hand.
My Legendary Pictures Counterpart: [No Name Yet]
Species: Modified Mononykus/Draco volans +cyborgnetic parts
Height: Same as 2014 American Godzilla
Abilities and Reason for Species choices: A lot of the mechanical aspects can be done thanks to modern technology (okay, laser weapons are still a bit tricky for us to do). However, it needs a body of some kind to avoid being a robot. The dinosaur known as Mononykus has arms so bizarre that I didn't believe it myslef when I first heard of it. In a nutshell, this 3' dino has a spike at the end of each arm, no hands in sight! They use it to go after ant/termite mounds. This would be a great starting point to have it be genetically modified to have longer, stronger, and sharper "blades". Lots of genetics would be needed to have it upright naturally. The Draco volans (Flying Dragon) lizard provides an interesting side for the flight aspect. They glide on wings that fold out from the sides of the body (better protection than mthyical dragon wing placements). This would not only make our Gigan counterpart more reptillian, but also provide a cool cyborg flight aspect. The special wings (Mach speed capable) would come out from the sides (protect at the time thanks to the cyborg armor). The buzzsaw underbelly can still be there, but instead of 1 buzzsaw how about the whole underbelly are rows of them! Scientists have made materials much sharper than diamonds, and stuff stronger yet lighter that bulletproof armor. I think they could make super sharp buzzsaws to slice into Godzilla. Maybe a protective "chest plate" slides back to reveal the buzzsaws of death.
