In my Gojiverse I gave Kong this designation:
Titanopithicus kongu it sounds better than Megaprimatus Kong.
Megaprimatus Kong sounds legit.
JurassicKaiju14
It would make sense, because it would be the canon name for Kong, and one that doesn't need revising... besides making the first letter of the species name lowercase XD
MinecraftDinoKaiju I was thinking of using the name that The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island used for him: Megaprimatus Kong.
Yeah, but what about Kong? How would he be classified?
MinecraftDinoKaiju I hadn't planned on giving him one. He was only discovered in 2016, and buried under a ton of ice to boot, so Monarch doesn't know enough about him to really give him a proper classification.
Good thing Emma decided to help out, eh?
I did that too in my Gojiverse fanfiction
Bare with me that I didn't translate godzillasaurus into a more scientific Gojirsaurus was due to me wanting to use the real Gojirasaurus as its triassic ancestor and two to be (loosely) in line with the Heisei film's terminology for Godzilla's origins.
Parazillasaurus agilis (Godzilla 98)
Vindexgodzillasaurus fabula (Monsterverse Godzilla)
Shingodzillasaurus anno (Shin Godzilla)
Godzillasaurus primis primis (Gojira 1954 to Raids Again)
Godzillasaurus primis secundas (King Kong vs Godzilla to Terror of Mechagodzilla Godzilla)
Godzillasaurus gigas (Heisei Godzilla)
Godzillasaurus nanos (Godzilla 2000 to Godzilla vs Megaluirus Godzilla and Kiryu Saga Godzilla)
Godzillasaurus malum (GMK Godzilla)
Godzillasaurus athletae (Final Wars Godzilla)
Angurasaurus ankylopoda (Anguruis)
Megapteranodon rodanus (Rodan)
Varana subtrerraneus (Varan)
Gigattacus mosura mosura (Mothra)
Chapter 43: Mappo Part V
Gideon Mansion, Somewhere in California
Great King Ghidorah soared above the Gideon Malick's estate. Trees, vehicles, people, and concrete were up-heaved into the air from his terrible wake. Ghidorah cackled as his victims either fell to their deaths or where crushed by the falling debris. A squadron of quinjets lock their sights on to the golden demise, the sky begins to dark as thunder clouds soon formed around Great King Ghidorah. "I have lost visual," said one of the quinjet pilots.
"Where did these storm clouds come from?" asked his wingman
"Oh shi..." one pilot's curse was cut short as a bolt of lightning illuminated King Ghidorah's silhouette, the three heads of ghidorah cackle fire their gravity beams into the quinjet squadron; some exploded as the gravity beams hit their mark while the others broke from formation to fire their missiles into the dragon titan. Great King Ghidorah wasn't even phased. The middle and right head of Ghidorah sport a slasher's grin while the left head darts its gaze around thoughtlessly before turning gaze back to its "brothers". Great King Ghidorah concentrates its energy, the great king ghidorah flare opens his wings to unleash his gravity beams through the tips of his wings; destroying the remaining quinjets.
Underground Facility, somewhere in Arizona
Tony Stark and his engineering team were working hard on reviving a project his father had started back in the late 80's. Project Juggernaut, an experimental military mobile space platform, it was original to the next stage to the STAR WARS project but the funding fell through in the early 90's through the administration change. In 2008 when Tony inherited his father's company, he restarted Project Juggernaut as a military project. However these past few years, Tony decided to re-purpose the mobile weapon platform into a deep space colony ship and renamed the Project, Pilgrimage. "This is the future! The future of mankind rests on this project being completed. Project Pilgrimage, mankinds future depends on it!"
Los Angeles, California
Admits the chaos Captain Danvers was forced to play a deadly game of hide and seek with a pair of tyrannosaurus-sized shingodzillans before being able to continue her trek to find her friend. Zilla Blue spots Legend as he charges up his atomic power. Zilla bites into one of Shin's dorsal plate, she twists and pulls until the connective tissue tears bounding the dorsal plate to Shin's back. Shin roars in pain as the sinew snaps away from its severed dorsal plate. Zilla leaps off of the lumbering Godzilla as she joins talon in the adjacent alley, Legend Goji quickly releases his red spiral breath into Shin Godzilla exposed back. Shin's body begins to glow red then purple then back to red, Shin roars as smoke began to radiate from its mouth. Blizzard and Kong saw their chance to strike, Kong grabs a large chunk of debris as Blizzard was powering up his cryogenic reserves. Kong grunts as he hurls the debris chunk into Shin Godzilla's side, Shin raises his tail up and reduces the debris into atomized dust. Blizzard leaps and grabs the apex of Shin's tail, he concentrates the cold energy from his palms into Shin's tail. The tiny malformed shingodzillans cry to life before being silenced by the cold, Shin charges up his spines but Kong hurls another debris chunk at the beast. The beams cut through the debris chunk, Blizzard's cold rushes through Shin's tail as it begins to cool its atomic reserve. Shin roars as it prepares to fire, however Blizzard's cold finally reaches shin's dorsal plates, one-by-one gradually shutting them down; Shin made one last roar before being frozen solid. Blizzard sighs in relief, he nods to Kong that Shin Godzilla was no longer a threat.
After the battle Danvers stumbles upon her wingman's down aircraft before running over to recover her friend, "You look like shit" she said before helping Lt. Rambeau out of the cockpit. Legend approached the two ape titans, he then looks up to see the frozen form of Shin Godzilla before snorting at his adversary. Legend turns away before heading back to sea, another godzilla roar calls out from the bay. Massive Dorsal plates shoot out of the water surface, the rest of its body came to in view as it rises from the bay. Legend recognizes this Godzilla, he was formerly the Godzilla Monarch designated as Jaeger but now he was more than double his original size. Bigger and stronger, a Super Godzilla. Cpt. Danvers and Lt. Rambeau looked on wards to the heavily armored godzilla. "Shit!" Carol Danvers cursed.
Legend roars at Super Godzilla, Super Godzilla roars back. Legend began charging up his atomic energy but Super Godzilla charged on to shore and soon Legend was shoved backwards. His lumbering form smashes in to Shin Godzilla, shattering the defeated titan into frozen pieces. Super Godzilla bites down on Legend's neck before dragging him through an office building, Mothra slowly regenerates her wings before taking to the sky to help her ally. Kong and Blizzard both double team Super Godzilla, Talon and Zilla join into the fight but Super Godzilla repelled them with his nuclear pulse attack. Blizzard pulls Kong away as he creates a wall of of glacier ice from the palms of his hands. The pulse batters against the glacier, melting the top layer of the ice wall. Talon and Zilla woke up to find themselves shielded by a wall of glacier ice as well. Armadon and Gamera watch from afar as Santa Monica was reduced to ruins, now all that was left were cooked buildings and melting glaciers. Zarkorr and Kraa rendezvous with their alpha; Super Godzilla growls at his subordinates before proceeding deeper into the city. Danvers and Rambeau quickly limp to the opposite direction, a loud thunderous boom was heard and with it a heavy gust of wind. The Great King Ghidorah soars above the out-skirts of Los Angeles, leveling the entire suburb divisions in his wake. The two pilots limp towards the nearest ground shelter, Ghidorah was swooping in for the kill, fortunately for Danvers and Rambeau they made it inside before ghidorah could reach them as the shelter quickly submerges into the ground
Great King Ghidorah snarled angrily as it lands a block away from the shelter, Zarkorr and Kraa greet the mighty Ghidorah. The two alien kaiju bow before the Great King, Ghidorah just nods at their compliance before turning his attention to Super Godzilla. Planet X soon positioned itself above the earth like a moon, the Rift's energies stabilized the celestial bodies orbits. Great King Ghidorah flew off towards the Santa Monica Bay in search of the key to the harbinger's arrival; Daisy Johnson.
Hawaii, Big Island, MONARCH-US Airforce base.
The base was very buzzing with activity as Helicarriers and Quinjets were scrambling to evacuate every military personnel, resident civilians, and tourists from the Hawaiian islands. Monarch's rendition of G-Force's Super X called M-Destroyers soon arrive to escort the Helicarrier flotilla. "Single file, people. Single file. Agent Johnson, I want you and Agent Campbell to suit up. Were going to need some more backup in case things go south" Agent Hill ordered.
"Roger. Let's go Lincoln" Daisy motioned to her co-pilot to follow her. The two suit up as they walk across the catwalk into their Jaeger the Quake Danger; the Patriot Avenger soon joins them in guard duty. A heavy gust of wind blows across the airforce base, the hellicarriers soon take to the skies after loading everyone onboard to join the rest of the hellicarrier fleet that evacuated from the neighboring islands. Another Axe-headed titan bursts from the water's surface, then a smaller reptilian titan bursts out of the water. The two kaiju glance at each other before charging towards the guardian Jaegers. Patriot Avengers fires a barrage of shoulder missiles into Trespasser the axe-head titan, while Quake Danger fires its cannon at the smaller reptile dubbed Otachi. Otachi swiftly dodges the Quake Danger's attacks before swiping the jaeger off its feet with its long tail, Otachi then looked up at the fleeing Helicarriers as it stands on its hind legs as it raises its forearms in the air. Large leathery wings deploy from its forelimbs; Otachi soon takes to the sky.
"Shit, that thing is going take out the helicarriers! Daisy, help me grab its tail!" Lincoln shouted.
The Quake Danger grabbed Otachi's long tail, the titan hissed as it flapped its wings harder to maintain itself in the air. It wiggles its tail free from the jaeger as it continues its flight towards the helicarriers. The hellicarriers fired all their weapons at the pursuing kaiju, Otachi roared in defiance as he inches closer and closer to them. Otachi opened its mouth ready to consume the nearest helicarrier before releasing a squeal, the thunder and lightning intensifies as the beast dive bombs into the ocean. "We bloody made it!" Agent Simmons cried. The rest of the crew of the Avenger Helicarrier celebrated as Otachi retreated further from their scanners.
"Something is not right" Agent Coulson muttered to himself.
"Sir contact direct front of the flotilla!" Agent Hill relayed.
"Its HIM, Monster Zero!" radioed in the commander of the front most Helicarrier, "May God...." the radio goes static as his heliccarier is soon torn apart by Great King Ghidorah's gravity beams.
Well, think about this: Why would Toho themselves want to market the Heisei Godzilla design when they have Shin Godzilla? Unless they won't focus on Shin Godzilla, but rather continue an unfinished saga (i.e. what happened to Godzilla Jr. after Godzilla vs. Destoroyah)?
Doesn't it just make sense?
But again, that's just me and my wishful thinking. :)
Also, if you want someone to be able to face Godzilla, why not Eleven from Stranger Things? Or Saitama from One Punch Man? Or Goku from Dragonball Z (ok, I guess he's not exactly human. But what about Roshi, Tien, Krillin, etc? Gohan probably counts because he's 50% human, and so does Trunks, and they might be able to do it)? Light Yagami with his Death Note from... well, Death Note? I mean, Serizawa 1v1ed him in the original film, and would have lived if he didn't commit suicide to keep the knowledge of the oxygen destroyer out of wrong hands. There's also Shazam, Wonder Woman, maybe even Batman could make his own Oxygen Destroyer or some Godzilla repelent lol. What about the Mask? The mask is almost impossible to kill, with the only way to even HURT him being to take off his mask. Even then, you can't force his mask off, you have to get him to willingly take it off himself. And he can literally just say NO to damage, so Godzilla can't hurt him. The mask follows cartoon logic, so he could essentially bring any weapon out of his pocket that he wants, like an oxygen destroyer, or something else that can kill Godzilla. I would bring up Deadpool too, but he could die if every cell of his body were to be destroyed, he can't do damage to Godzilla, and Godzilla's Atomic Breath would mow down Deadpool into nothingness. But honestly, I think the Mask would be the best bet. He doesn't take damage unless he WANTS to.
Um... EVERY (not including Zilla or Hanna Barbara version) Godzilla emits radiation. Hell, it's why San Francisco was abandoned, and the whole point of KOTM was that the Titan's radiation would "help restore life" and whatnot. So yeah, Serious Sam would die.
MV Godzilla doesn't really take damage from conventional weaponry either, and you can't just assume a weapon would hurt Godzilla just because it's Sci-Fi. That's like assuming a clone trooper could kill Ghidorah because they're Sci-Fi. Also, he would need his FULL arsenal to hurt Godzilla, meaning he'd definitely be slowed down enough for Godzilla to hit him pretty easily, especially when he can move his head to redirect his Atomic Breath. He could probably use a nuclear pulse, but since we don't know if MV Godzilla can do it outside of his Burning form, I won't include it. Also, Godzilla would need only ONE hit to kill Sam, which he is fully capable of by using his arms, tail, jaws, Atomic Breath, or throwing a tree if need be. He hit the male Muto with an incredibly well timed hit and is a master of melee combat, as well as having probably fought COUNTLESS creatures of high speeds as well (such as the aforementioned male Muto, and probably Rodan and others at a certain point as well).
Well for what concerns radiation poisoning, i thought that it was a feature just in the 1954 movie, where godzilla was more of an apology for Nuclear Weapons and the sufferings they cause to the civilians. I don't remember in the monsterverse to have seen anyone ever suffer from that.
But i realize the fallacy of this comparison, Godzilla is a Cinema creature, not a Final Boss. So to make this observation the most objective possible, i'll take in exam Serious Sam's 3 final boss: Ugh-Zan, and compare his Abilities with Monsterverse Titans to understand if Sam would be able to defeat them as he did with the final boss.
Height:Ugh-Zan IV is 330 feet tall, Female Muto is 300 feet tall and Godzilla is 393 feet tall.
Abilities: Ugh-Zahn is a Bio-mechanical giant, he has a extremely high Health Regeneration rate and doesn't even flinch at any conventional weapon, he is able to keep at bay a "Sandwhale" monster twice his size, unbeatable by sam without in the middle of the final fight.
Also Ugh-Zahn isn't a titan, he's an alien, in fact he's the leader of the Alien army, the loyal servant of the unseen alien overlord mental, therefore every major enemy in the game converges to defend him.
in terms of offensive Ugh Zahn, being a Cyborg and not an animal, uses his augmented arms as cannons, which shoot endless barrages of plasma blasts and Missiles.
Ugh-Zahn main weakness are Lighting Beams, they stun him and disable his regenerative ability, sam defeats him by impale in his back metal scaffolding poles, in order to attract lighting strikes onto him, which eventually weaken him enough to be dispatched by Sam.
In conclusion i Believe Serious Sam would be able, using his full arsenal and jetpack, to at least neutralize Godzilla, he has weak points after all, gills and eyes, and assuming his sci-fi weapons are able to hurt him, concentrated fire in those points would make the titan flee. If Sam's riding the jetpack i doubt Godzilla would be able to catch him, he's too clumsy and slow, i also doubt atomic breath could hit such a small and fast object, excluding the great effort it takes to be produced.
I took in exam Serious Sam because i believe he's the only human character in every piece of media to be able to have a face off against Godzilla.
"I hope that we get an official answer, or (and it might be just wishful thinking) that Toho's new World of Godzilla will be focused on Godzilla Jr. after Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. (A bit of a stretch, but still better than nothing.)"
Probably won't happen, but that's a really interesting idea.
I knew S.H. MonsterArts would do a better job than NECA. It's just too bad that the U.S. price is so high.
That is so true, G. H. (Gman). But like I said, I hope that we get an official answer, or (and it might be just wishful thinking) that Toho's new World of Godzilla will be focused on Godzilla Jr. after Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. (A bit of a stretch, but still better than nothing.)
F the NECA one. I want this one now!
The "VolcanoGoji" suit looks like a cross between the 1955 and 1962 suits. I honestly would have been happier if Toho had used that design in King Kong vs. Godzilla.
The mechagodzilla references are strong with this one.

Top: Plans for the alien city and Mugal (from Terror of MechaGodzilla)
Bottom: MechaGodzilla City and Mulu-elu Galu-gu (from Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle)
JurassicKaiju14,
Yeah, the best explanation for Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah's time travel nonsense is Kieth Aiken's article. There's still several holes to it, but seeing as it's written by someone who's actually worked with Toho and Sony, it's probably the closest we'll get to an "official" explanation. You can read it here:
GODZILLA VS KING GHIDORAH: Time Travel and the Origins of Godzilla
GvKG was probably the most insane, confusing, paradoxial heisei Godzilla film. Still one of my guilty pleasure movies.
G. H. (Gman) "the only way it can make sense anyway is through the closed loop theory, instead of alternate timelines--Given that everyone still remembers Godzilla in the film and the events of Biollante still took place. This would give validity to the idea she's from the future where Godzilla died in Destoroyah."
Agreed. It took me a while (and the Omni Viewer's Atomic Roasts segment on the movie) to realize just how crazy GvKG really is, and not just for the time paradox stuff.
The writing in King Ghidorah is so bad, that I highly doubt they thought this far about it either way. But the only way it can make sense anyway is through the closed loop theory, instead of alternate timelines--Given that everyone still remembers Godzilla in the film and the events of Biollante still took place. This would give validity to the idea she's from the future where Godzilla died in Destoroyah.
Still looks like a flamin-hot cheeto.
Wouldn't be fast enough to outrun him or his Atomic Breath, and even then would probably die of radiation poisoning from just being near Godzilla. I can't see a scenario where Serious Sam would survive, even if he somehow kills Godzilla.
That looks so cool!
Technically, by going back in time, she could have altered the future and accidentally caused a chain of events leading to Godzilla's death, like bringing in Ghidorah would lead to a series events that lead to people studying micro oxygen and the disappearance of Birth Island. I mean, you could say this wouldn't change anything because for her, King Ghidorah would have already attacked Godzilla and failed. The problem with that is she doesn't have any knowledge of Ghidorah before the events of the film, or of Mecha King Ghidorah, so that means she comes from a timeline where Ghidorah never existed. If Ghidorah never existed it's POSSIBLE that Godzilla didn't die, or that Destoroyah never existed, or that Godzilla Junior didn't have a human familym etc. Still a valid theory in my opinion, though.
I don't think the mech would be Jet Jaguar, because that would probably KILL the Monsterverse if the mech was Jet Jaguar. Moguera seems more likely, but she only appeared in only one movie, and that movie is among the least liked Godzilla films even among fans of the franchise. Also, she looks kinda derpy. My money is on either Mechagodzilla or Gigan, because they seem like they'd fit the Monsterverse best and are very well known Kaiju, at least among fans.
Looks pretty good. I tend to prefer SHMA over NECA for the articulation factor.
I want it so bad!
It's likely we already know what happened.
In Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah Emi said that her partners made up Godzilla attacking and that he never shows up again. Because she's from 2204, it's not out-of-line to assume she's talking about Junior. She would've already known Godzilla died in 1995.
It would also make sense that Junior would never attack since he was raised by humans.
I'd just assume he went back into the ocean and live his life in peace.
MinecraftDinoKaiju
Ghidorah would probably belong to his own Kingdom, since he's an axtraterrestrial
I agree with Gmkgoji and MinecraftDinoKaiju
My question was based on the fact that Serious Sam comes from 22 century, and wields weapons never appeared in any godzilla film, which are able to overwhelm MUTO like creatures. To not forget that serious sam doesn't fight just giant monsters, but thousands of relentless aliens, facing at the same time hordes of gigantic enemies.
The point i wanted to debate are the survival capabilities of Godzilla compared to the out of world arsenal of an ingenuous arena shooter. Godzilla is a juggernaut, is completely Bullet-Explosive-Nuclear-proof, but suffers from other MUTO's forces. So, if somehow in monsterverse humans come out with such portable weapons, able to penetrate Titans armor, with someone with the super-human skills of Serious Sam, could just a man be able to overrun Godzilla or a Titan in general?
These are all really interesting, and I really do hope they are explored more in the films.
Same here, Gmkgoji.
Although, I do wish that they continued after the Millennium Era or even Shin Godzilla. Hopefully, it will be revealed in World of Godzilla.
True, but the purpose was to mystify how Junior would take his fathers place.
@JurassicKaiju14
That looks awesome. But what would Kong be classified as then? Or even Ghidorah?
