*Rodan Spoilers*

TheTruthIsOutThere
MemberBaragonJun-27-2017 10:03 AMSure would be nice to see a return to Rodan's "predator" roots...
Believed to have awoken from his volcanic slumber in 1991... Mount Pinatubo will never be the same again, birth to the monster myths surrounding the volcano - Monarch file-40444-R

MemberTitanosaurusJun-29-2017 6:58 PMAgreed, even though I'm really enjoying this speculation is there some form of facts you can show us to confirm you aren't just playing us like a Nintendo.

MemberBaragonJun-29-2017 7:21 PMYes, I informed you of practical effects a month before official word was released

MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 4:18 AMI do like the idea of Rodan being immune to Godzilla's plasma breath. It would certainly tie in to the fact that, you know, HE CAME OUT OF A GODDAMN VOLCANO.
Though, lava is one thing. PLASMA is another.

MemberBaragonJun-30-2017 6:20 AMSure. Let's all act like this is new with Rodan being fireproof. Ghidorah the three headed monster 1964, Godzilla's atomic breath did little to no damage at all, and the same applies with the heisei series with 1993 with, hello, fire Rodan.
Seriously, let's all ignore past films and act like this is a first. Get real.
Rodan has talons? Well, no sh##. He's always had talons. Lives in a volcano? Gee, 1956 did as well and ended up dying with his mate in a volcano.

MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 6:40 AMCool it with the sarcasm [edit: and deadpan snarking], or at least don't be a jerk about it and presume that we're blindly lapping everything up. We all knew the previous examples, we just like the idea. Besides, the originals died to a volcanic eruption, and this is a neat subversion of that by emerging from a volcanic eruption in the first place.
Also, plasma is a lot worse than lava in terms of heat transfer.
[Edit] Also, no actual proof leads to us recognizing that fact and having fun with the discussion anyways.

Huge-Ben
MemberBaragonJun-30-2017 7:04 AMI'm not being sarcastic nor am I being a jerk. Again, no actual proof leads to ignorance and misguidance.

MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 12:32 PMI have a bigger issue, who the f**k calls Godzilla's atomic breath plasma breath?!? Those are not the same thing at all

morgoth9899
MemberMothra LarvaeJun-30-2017 6:25 PMGodzilla's atomic breath in Ghidorah the three headed monster was disappointing; it was more like dirty air kicked up by a leaf blower breath.

AdminGodzillaJun-30-2017 6:55 PM"I have a bigger issue, who the f**k calls Godzilla's atomic breath plasma breath?!?"
It's what happens when people look too far in to things. It's atomic breath, no worries.

JurassicNight
MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 7:00 PMGman- Certainly no worries, we discussed that on another thread and I realized what he meant. He was talking specifically about G 14, not every other Godzilla.

G. H. (Gman)
AdminGodzillaJun-30-2017 7:04 PMEven still there's no real confirmation it's actually plasma. I'm sure if we/he wanted to look that far in to it we could deduce other forms of the atomic ray as something "else" as well, but in the end it would just be unconfirmed speculation. I have a feeling the upcoming film will contradict the whole "plasma" thing since, y'know, it's not.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-30-2017 7:11 PMSomething tells me you're an inside man for the film giving us very slight clues on what the movie is about...

JurassicNight
MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 7:12 PMGman- Oh I know, I'm just saying that when I first read what he said I though he meant for all Godzilla's, which wouldn't make sense as we know Godzilla shoots a beam of pure radiation. (a.k.a not plasma)

JurassicNight
MemberTitanosaurusJun-30-2017 7:13 PMCrimson Black- I've thought that for a while now, if he is I doubt he'd let us know

MemberBaragonJun-30-2017 11:19 PMGodzilla's gonna have the time of his life trying to catch up with his ol' rival.

TheGMan123
MemberTitanosaurusJul-01-2017 3:53 AMI could believe that. Godzilla's pretty damn old already. He let himself get overwhelmed by two iddy-biddy Hokmutos, for MONARCH's sake!
Definitely an eye-opener. Hehe........ imagining Godzilla doing push-ups, sit-ups, and drinking plenty of juice to get in shape puts a smile on my face.

morgoth9899
MemberMothra LarvaeJul-01-2017 9:16 AM^I just hope they don't cheese this movie up like make him fly or talk or any crap like that. I don't mind if the movie is not as serious as the first, but the moment it gets cheesy it will get laughed out of theaters.

TheGMan123
MemberTitanosaurusJul-01-2017 9:27 AMI'd say that the balance struck by Kong: Skull Island would be a good one.
For example, say Rodan messes up when he's fighting one of the other three and crashes into a building in a hilarious manner. Audience laughs out loud. Then it turns out that crashing into the building causes it to topple on a bunch of civilians attempting to escape that particular city. Audience is horrified.

MemberBaragonJul-05-2017 10:58 AMSure hope Monarch does a better job at containment, wouldn't want him getting off that island...
Hope to see you all at Comic Con, expect something awesome!

JurassicNight
MemberTitanosaurusJul-05-2017 9:30 PMHe's gonna get off the island, when has keeping monsters on an island not gone wrong?

TheTruthIsOutThere
MemberBaragonJul-06-2017 9:29 AMNo fair, Godzilla doesn't even get his own island, Some co-stars gets all the VIP treatment...

JurassicNight
MemberTitanosaurusJul-06-2017 9:46 PMG's gonna be pretty pissed, which is why I bet he'll start destroying crap like Old school G.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-13-2017 6:08 AMIve got it! Mothra has poisonous powers and ends up fighting Rodan. It said Mothra may have even caused a historical event. That event is the Great Smog of London, there it is said pollution was possibly sent by a large creature flapping its wings. That is Mothra, fighting Rodan! I think I cracked the code!

goji1954
MemberMothra LarvaeJul-13-2017 9:29 PMI must admit, you have indeed been correct about the origins of the monsters so far. Just out of curiosity, do they have a composer selected yet? And also, will original themes be used or will the score be completely new and original?
