Should Gamera get an American reboot?

I don'r really know where else to put this, but here goes:

With the colossal success of the new American Godzilla, how would you feel about an American Gamera reboot? That would be cool, IMO.

Gamera

I think it could quite be beneficial for Gamera, since not many people in America know about him. Those who do think he is one of the Godzilla monsters. It could help Gamera get more well-known by the public. I had an idea for an American Gamera movie some time ago that takes him back to his original destructive roots from the 1965 film, Gamera the Invincible, where he attacks and destroys Boston, while later having to deal with a bigger threat to humanity: Gyaos.

How do you feel about this? Should Gamera head for American cinemas? Or do you think he's not ready?

The new film will be Japanese, but if seriousness is your concern that still doesn't make a lot of sense. The Gamera Trilogy are three of the most serious movies in the entire daikaiju genre and trumps pretty much everything from Godzilla in the last thirty years.

Ohh then I guess I shouldnt have judged lol, well idk I think what I meant by seriousness is that I guess I just wanted to see a realistic version of Gamera, and ik how hard that sounds to make Gamera realistic, but thats just something I would love to see

@Dragonlord Tevin - If you're assuming the new Gamera film will suck if it is a Japanese production, then that has to probably mean you've only watched the silly "kiddie" Gamera flicks from the late 60's & early 70's. I've watched and own Shusuke Kaneko's Gamera Trilogy and believe me, they are light years away from being anything less than serious films. The best in the genre actually, along with the original '54 Godzilla of course.

Personally I think the Gamera trilogy is pretty overrated. Special effects wise it's amazing, but watching the films excluding the second one, but I've read it's synopsis so I'm aware what happens in it, I found the other parts of them okay not bad by any means but I definitely don't see them as the amazing pieces many people do.

As for a reboot, couldn't care less. I've seen almost all of Gamera's films and would go see it if it was made but if Gamera the Brave was the last Gamera film ever made it wouldnt bother me

If you're looking for realism, you're in the wrong genre...
