I've taken out all the spoilers:

One thing I have to say is Bryan Cranston is a phenomenal actor, he steals each scene whether is is crying, shouting, or even looking around. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is one of the worst actors I have ever seen.

He just lacks charisma and when he tries to convey emotions it is without any conviction in his eyes and combine that with Elizabeth Olsen who I adore but overacts in every other scene, it was cringing experience.

The worst part of it all was how slow the plot was moving in the whole movie. They should of just Axe Aaron character all together and have Bryan be the main protagonist. With that being said, the visual affects of this movie was amazingly well done. The outskirts of Tokyo, Hawaii and San Fan was beautifully depicted. The destruction and chaos of cars, buildings, and planes falling everywhere had me on the edge of my seat.

When there was fighting, it was captivating and I cheered hard for the king of monsters. If they were able to just edit out all of Aaron Taylor's parts and reduced the movie to one hour and 30 mins then it would of worked much better. The pacing was great in the first 40 mins and fell apart in the 3rd act. I loved the film even with its minor faults, I would def recommended to everyone who is a fan of the beast. Jaden Smith and Aaron Taylor should have a battle on who have the worst "acting" ability.

A little disheartening when we know ATJ is our lead character.....but we'll see.

Listen, ALL 28 Godzilla movies, up to this point, had some horrible acting.  ALL OF THEM!.  So this is nothing new.  I could tell the acting was bad when  I saw the commercial with Taylor and Olsen on the phone.  You could tell they were acting.  Still, I'm not going to see Godzilla for the acting.  If I want to see great acting I'd go see "Belle", the new movie from England.

Here's some clarification from the reviewer:

I am the op in the post he link to. I might of over exaggerated how bad Arron is but it was because how much screen time he got compare to all the other actors. For a lead he was weak and the movie was 2 hrs long. If he was a side character I wouldn't of mind him.

So yeah.

JUNKERDE - I very much appreciated the honesty imparted within this gentlman's review. That being said, I find his grasp on diction to be a little...strained. He uses phrases such as "should of" (in lieu of "should have") and leaves out quite a bit of connective words that would make his sentences more cohesive. Other than that, I greatly enjoyed reading it! Thank you for bringing this to us! :)

Why is everyone flipping their spit? This is  great for a "negative" review. I think the other actors seem bad becuase they're in comjparson to Bryan Cranston.

I am very happy to hear the fight scenes are intense, and that the audience is rooting for the big man. :)

The assumption of the matter is that the reviewer seems to be the type of person who doesn't like long story filled movies and prefers the modern shortness trend. I on the other hand, like a lot of other people, recall the glory days when movies were filled with enough content that you didn't leave feeling like the movie was too short, which seems to happen with a lot of modern movies I watch these days. I'm not even sure if we can take his word for Aaron's acting. I also find it obsured that people think to be a good actor you have to have a specific emotional personality, when in real life situations there are people who react to terrible events in a calm manner while freaking out inside, which seems to be Aarons character. His character also seems to be more of the rational type, meaning you're not going to see his emotions taking control of him as much as other characters who are driven by feeling. There's a good reason for this: you can't have the hero freaking out and getting so emotional he can't complete his quest. He needs to remain level headed.

@The-True-Batman:

I don't know what movies you have been going to see.  The movies these days are a little longer, on average, than they were 20 years ago.  The Lord of the Rings trilogy had three 3-hour movies.  The Batman movies were 2 1/2 hours.  Most Marvel movies are 2:15 plus.  Hell, animated movies are pushing two hours.  I think this reviewer just wanted to be done with the actors, during the third act, so he could get back to Godzilla.

@RATEDREX Ah, that's a good point. I also suspect that's how a lot of fans will be. They'll prefer monster action over human drama.

Well, after reading the review, it sort of confirms my fears about how the story would progress according to Gareth Edward's way of directing.

To be honest? I wasn't too impressed by Gareth's last movie, 'Monsters' because there was too much focus and unnecessary interactions taking place between the casts that dominated almost 90% of the movie that makes one wonder where the F** are the monsters. And when you really get to see them, it was a turn off. And you know I was in the cinema watching it and there were a number of people who actually got up and left halfway through the show. Even my friends who watched it with me felt the movie was building up suspense only to end up with crap. Which is why I could understand why people like Roland Emmerich had doubts over Gareth being the correct person to do the job for a movie like Godzilla.

I hope I dun have to see people getting up and walking off the show this time again, since the reviewer mentioned that for 1hr 30mins u dun see Godzilla at all until the final 30 mins.  I will provide my own review when I catch it on 13/14th May Pacific Time.
