MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 5:29 AMI really love this guy! He looks like he can pack a punch!
I also admire the fact that he "glows", it makes him look more man-made. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 7:40 AMIt will look a lot better in the movie. The design is cool, but the toys aren't very well donel, so it will loke awesome in the movie, much better.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 8:34 AMMUTO is very disapointing. Hopefully will look better in the movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 9:16 AMMy first impression....Don't like it. Not very interesting overall design. Like Mikeynamez just said, I hope it looks better in the movie, or they have other monsters that are better than this.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 10:29 AMI think that "claw" in the trailer is not a Claw
I think this is the wing of te Flying MUTO

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 10:33 AMUgh....don't judge it too soon, it's a child's toy and the final design will be far nymore detailed etc., I bet all of ye who have trashed the design will be of a different opinion come may and you are skipping merrily out the cinema haha. This however is just my opinion and I do truly respect those who may not be overly fond of what they see....so I have said my bit, please don't bite my head off 😱

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 11:33 AMI wonder if anyone who saw the 2013 comic con footage (the airport sequence) can attest to whether this is the Muto that attacked the airport or if this is a completely different creature.
I personally think that this is the eight-legged Muto. I think so because a toy of the winged Muto should actually have wings, and since this toy doesn't seem to have many details or articulations I doubt that this Muto toy can actually spread some wings.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 11:44 AMI'm ready to see the other muto, whether or not this is actually a winged muto or not-- we just don't know. There is a chance it could be, but equally that it couldn't. Either way I'm loving the design, for me its like Clover if they had taken all the humanity out of its face and slimmed it down to its core, 'alien' like attributes.
If this isn't the winged muto, this just hypes me more to see the final, winged product.

Community ExecutiveMemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 12:15 PMIf is in scale muto is going to be huge, and I think as some members of this forums, muto can be hidding it wings, like a bat

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 12:16 PMokay, i still can't tell, is Godzilla going to look like the Brazil poster, or will he look like the new Empire magazine poster?

Personally, I think they look exactly the same. Take a picture of yourself from an down angle than an up angle, tell me how similar you look. Ber honest, most of us look a lot friendlier and less imposing from a down angle than we do from an up angle. Brazil photo is the same Godzilla as the Empire Magazine, just from a different angle, with different lighting. Its the same design. I've tried explaining this, people just don't seem to want to accept it (Most people hate the brazil photo, but to me, I've yet to see evidence showing that the brazil photo doesn't represent the final design)
Regardless-- I hope this gets through to people, but I doubt it will. They are going to continue to assume that the Brazil photo is not accurate, despite being on all the boxes-- and bandai isn't going to use an non-relevant design.
Until I hear edwards saying "Yeah the godzilla on that box is completely different than mine" I'm going to continue to assume its the same design from different perspectives.
Either way, I hope that doesn't come off as being too mean. I'm really not trying to start an argument, just explaining something.
This is coming from someone who has friends in the advertising business, I know how much lighting and perspective can change the way someone looks and maybe its just silly for me to expect people to have that knowledge in their back pocket.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 5:51 PMIt looks like it could be related to Iris from Gamera:revenge of iris... Obviously its not lol but I think its looking awesome

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 6:02 PMok, so this is the MUTO whose leg we see slam down on the ground.
The flying MUTO, in an article linked in another thread, looked like a cross between a moth and a fly. So that's clearly not this.
Then there is the other big, Godzilla-like kaiju hinted at.
The centipede-type kaiju from the convention teaser is still missing. It's looking more and more like he's not in the film. I just don't see how you can fit 5 different monsters in this film...

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-03-2014 7:19 PMOkay, guys, this was my original closed topic, so for those of you who haven't seen it or wanted to reply, here it is:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Destruction Pack MUTO is Eight-legged MUTO (PROOF AND LINKS)"
To be clear, I didn't write this to be sarcastic or to deliberately argue with anyone. I wrote this because I saw the argument about the Deluxe Destruction Pack Muto. And well, I'm certain I can put this topic to rest.
I believed at first that the Muto in that set was indeed the winged one. However, once I recalled some things I had read about this set, I realized I was wrong, and I have proof to back it up.
There are two Destruction Packs, in case anyone didn't know, and the leaked photos are of the Deluxe one. Plain and simple, scroll down on this link and read what this set includes:
http://www.toywiz.com/deluxedestructionpack.html
"Bring the excitement of the Godzilla movie home and fight for humanity as Godzilla, or be the Eight-legged Muto and try to destroy the world."
If that isn't proof enough, read this link for the NON-DELUXE Destruction Pack:
http://www.toywiz.com/godzilladestructionpack2.html
"Bring the excitement of the Godzilla movie home and fight for humanity as Godzilla, or be the Winged Muto and try to destroy the world."
Same description, just different Mutos.
To prove that the Destruction Pack we saw in the photos was the DELUXE Destruction Pack, read what it contains. It lists a bridge that breaks apart. Whereupon the regular Destruction Pack containing the Winged Muto, does not, confirming that the set with the Eight-legged Muto is indeed the one we saw in the photos.
I've got even more proof to go along with this. Remember Chris' article?
http://www.godzilla-movies.com/news/1564
If you recall (or simply read it again), the article is definitely describing the non-deluxe pack, as it contains less things and doesn't mention the bridge. Plus, the description for the Muto is completely different than the one we saw in the photos- it has only two legs and the head is somewhere between a moth/fly in appearance. Plus, Thorsten calls it Mothra. Does this sound like the Muto we saw? No, and the Muto we saw has more than two legs. This article says that the Muto being described is the Winged one, confirming, once again, that the monster in the photos we saw was in fact the Eight-legged Muto.

AdminGodzillaMar-04-2014 9:06 PM^Doesn't look like it. Looks like both toys have little to no articulation. Admittedly it's hard to tell from these pics though. I'm mostly guessing.
