Guys dont be 100% sure and think there wont be any TOHO monsters in this movie

I'll leave my original post up in the long shot and vain hope that somebody who has some technical knowledge/control over the website structure might see it and implement some changes :-)

not sure if you were talking to me, or the other guy, but yeah I wasn't trying to be critical or attack you. I was trying to defend you.

I do think the topic is a bit of a repeat. I see the distinction you are making between the two threads, but it's a thin distinction.

That being said, all I was trying to say was that I don't think repeat topics should be judged so harshly with the way this site is formatted. The way it is now....over a dozen topics get buried daily, and people only have a window of a few hours or less to see them. 

Repeat topics and thin distinctions are NECESSARY to get anyone besides the same 5 people who already posted to get a look at something. 

This website needs like 20 of the 'latest discussions' to be visible, and every time a thread gets a comment it needs a bump to the top imo....that way the only stuff that gets buried hopefully hasn't been commented on in a long time, but also had a fair chance to be seen. 

This would also cut down on repeats, as things like the 'size' thread would stay on that list for days, if not weeks at a time....rather than each size thread fading into obscurity in a couple hours, and then the somebody logs in the next day and starts a new one.

It's a problem w/ the website atm, not the posters imo.

but yeah agree with wat ur saying, again, lol this website doesnt function as good, which i have personally already messaged about, but were gonna just have to get used to it AND the repeats cuz thats just how this website works you know.

Actually, you can view the latest discussions here. There's a tab for it on the forum homepage. Plus the forum homepage shows latest posts to a topic. Each forum does show the last replied to topic on top, so it's really only the sidebar that shows the latest added topics with no other order value.

But yeah, I'll leave this topic open for now... though it is very close to being a repeat.

Ah, I found the list of 'latest replies' and 'latest threads' now....after i went to te 'forum' section

Having found it now does partially negate some of my points.  I do think it would be helpful to expand the number of visible 'latest discussions' on the homepage...and implementing a 'bump to the top per post' mechanic.

But I'm not a website designer, and I understand that 'Scified' probably has a default template which limits the sandbox you can play with. So if it doesn't happen, I understand and no big deal. 

Peeps... PLEASE cool it with the fights, cursing and insults. It's getting really old fast, and is against our forum rules in the first place. Seems like every Godzilla post is turning into a turf war. Let us handle the trolls, that is what the report button is for. Keep it chill...

I have some doubts about it, because as someone said before getting the Godzilla license was already pricey for the studios, so another Toho monster means a great expense too, specially when WB/Legendary people are awaiting for the box office results before invest more money for a sequel idea.

But if they already put another kaiju (who knows), I think Destoroyah is an option, because his origins involves the usage of Oxygen Destroyer, the only thing that defeated the First Godzilla, we have an equivalent of Dr. Serizawa here, and the products details in the upcoming figures talk about eight-legged Mutos and winged Mutos, and Destoroyah passed through those stages already

Actually, im 100% positive that there will be no toho monsters. And one of the main reasons is marketing purposes. Also, Banno had acquired the rights to Godzilla. He didnt need any other rights for his movie as he was creating a new monster for the movie. Also, by now.. youd think that someone at Legendary might have let it slip up that they have more rights than what people are letting on. If two trailers can manage to leak, a simple "weve got another toho monster!" Would be next to impossible to keep secret.

I completely agree with BCrockett94. I see the Muto a different monster, not Toho monster.

Question TEVIN, how do you know what Legendary would or would not say?

Last I checked you're just another person on the internet. Are you the son of a Legendary producer or director who's been involved in the film or at least in Legendary as a whole and somehow know their process and their strategies in a way that nobody else does?

Legendary announced several times there'd be no Toho monsters in the film, and indeed that's how it should be. 

Toho monsters don't belong in this franchise, and if Legendary puts one into the franchise they'll be shooting themselves in the foot. This'll be about the umpteenth time I've said it, but here it is again:

If Legendary can't make a successful franchise based on Godzilla using their own creativity, they don't deserve to make the franchise at all.

I'm 100% certain they won't have any Toho monsters in the film. The leaked information that Chris received from his anonymous source that says the MUTOs are Toho monsters I'm certain is a load of crap born of either misinterpretation or miscommunication, and as much as I trust Chris I don't trust this anonymous source of his.

I agree with the above. Let's get a fresh crop of kaiju for this film and beyond.

Even though Legendary is making the movie this time, Godzilla is still Toho's property, so this new film legitimatly counts as another Toho Godzilla film. Where I'm going with this is that, because, in a way, this is a Toho production film (even though, again, Legendary is making it), wouldn't that technically make the MUTOs officially new Toho kaijus?

i thought that toho had to at least approve everything for this film because this is one of their most vauable frachises
