Since we all heard Godzilla is 350 feet, I thought about the trailer and when Godzilla stood by the Bank of America building which is clearly 779 feet, I was pretty dang sure Godzilla looked taller than the building. But mostly its probably not a final scene shot. And if the bulding was destroyed and fell down or sumthin, then it would look more destroyed. But idk what do you guys think? Unfinal scene? Building fallen? Failed sizing? Lol
@Kyero
Well done. For all the fans complaining, it's rather obvious Gareth Edwards gave all of you a heads up.
KYERO Dude, when the fuck did I say Godzilla is 800 feet? I know that hes 350 feet, and I like that height, but what ur saying is that I was trying to prove that Godzilla was taller than that building.
Wrong, and dont you try to correct me with that interview, I saw that one already, and as big as a G fan you relly think you are, im a huge one too and I bet Ive already seen every Godzilla interview out there.
But what Im trying to say is that I think YOU need to wake up and face reality kid, that ur theory of me trying to prove Godzilla being taller than the building is wrong, did u even see me write something like "Oh yeahh, Godzilla must be taller than the building"?
This picture and topic was just for fun to show that the sizing probably failed, but people sayed it was the angle of the shot. Its time for YOU to wake up and realize that your posts fails to prove anything because you dont ask before you assume something.
I dont expect this from a G fan, so you should stfu and just accept that ur a Godzilla dick fan and move on to another forum. You'll be the all happier and more relaxed once you have done so.
i saw something that stated that godzilla is actually 495ft tall but if hes bigger that would be awesome. a 600ft or taller godzilla how can that be wrong lol
KING_OF_ZOMBIES Lol love that theory haha
KYERO Wattup smartie, did you read my reply on that other discussion? Well then read my message up there ^ and im messaging here again so I can bring up this discussion higher for you to see it better. Oh yeah, and if you have nothing to reply with because youd just realize how much of an idiot you were assuming and writing a long ass comment up there ^ about something wrong the whole time, then just put a letter as an excuse reply so youll proved that you saw my message
So late in the game, but watching the trailer and using the almighty google maps. The angle, facing of the BoA building and where G-man is, he's walking through St. Mary's Square(that area) and the building in the background at an angle is the Fairmont Building which is listed as about 300 feet so if you continued the drop where it was cut off, perspective would put Godzilla about half of the Boa Building and a bit taller than the Fairmont. There I'm officially bored at work and a geek....
Perspective is probably the best answer, but I just figured Godzilla had knocked it down at some point.
I saw this discussion and just had to weigh in on it. here is another theory... there are 2 Godzillas and one is 350 tall and the other is pictured above. This movie is not going to be a traditional one. I think the big surprise is not the other kaiju / foe... I think its more than on Godzilla. The cover image of Empire magazine and the the front body shot movie poster... when you do a side by side.. there are slight differences in the two G's. Does anyone else see that?
@RR44 Sadly, your analysis is invalid.
The earlier teaser trailer with the shot that was used in this thread was confirmed to be just that, a teaser. It was not an official trailer, and the final scene in the movie will not depict what was shown in the teaser which makes the entire picture itself completely invalid as well.
There is only one Godzilla in this movie. Of that, you can be certain. Any rumors you've heared about a second Godzilla are entirely false and unsubstantiated and come from non-credible sources.
There is only one Godzilla, and though the artwork changes slightly from image to image, it's the same creature.
@tw_g-fan2014.... first off.. a pictures worth a thousand words.. my analysis may not be acurate.. but there is no denying what is being shown in this clip from the the trailer. the Bank of America building is still upright.. and Godzilla is not 2 blocks away from it.. he is walking right next to it. second.. why would there be a G in Hawaii.. then in San Fran.. and in vegas too. and whats the big surprise Gareth was refering to concerning the halo jump scene.. if G is alone in this movie and 350 feet tall... then we would not see a head shot even at a 10 degree pitch while descending near a 779 foot tall structure. thats less than half the height of the building. so I theorize that there are 2 Gs. one is 350 feet tall.. the other one... a whole lot taller. If I am wrong.. well.. no harm no foul.. the movie is still gonna kick a**. BUT.. if I am right.. then holy moly.. this movie will make history. keep in mind.. the producers are not gonna have his name mentioned in the movie.. and that can leave the door open for a lot of speculation. IMO... one G gets injured by another kaiju in vegas.. and the other G responds accordingly. who knows.. its all speculation.. but its fun to do. peace to you and everyone else.. cuz on May 16th.. history will be made.. and we the fans are the beneficiaries and witnesses to the greatest comeback of the King of Monsters.
ok.. here is some real research. for starters.. Godzilla is making his way northward on Kearny street as he is passing between the bank of america building and fidelity national title insurance building... and it stands at least 300 feet tall give or take. clearly Godzilla is taller than that building. and when veiwed from a height of 824 feet approximatley where the halo jumpers field of view is as he descends down just before the screen goes black in the trailer.. as this pic above is showing... it is evident that the Godzilla seen here.. is much larger than 300 feet. and yes. Godzilla could be standing on rubble.. but it IS a long shot. and one more thing.. @SOMETHING REAL.... I hope you don't think that I am a girl. quite the opposite. Mabey you were refering to someone elses comment. peace.
I had to edit my last comment.. reguarding the height of the Fidelity National Title Insurance building. I have been researching that region of san fran and all the buildings in the vacinity of Godzilla. It is my humble opinion that we're all gonna be shocked and amazed on may 16th and I will leave it at that.
@R44 - It is well established a long time ago that this was not actual movie footage. It was part of a teaser meant to begin the long journey that was the hype train for Godzilla.
During the real HALO drop scene, you won't see this image at all. You'll see something completely different.
This picture, and the apparent height of Godzilla in it, are completely irrelevant and invalid when it comes to judging the final Godzilla's height. So your analysis is also invalid. Godzilla has been confirmed numerous times, even in the Q&A segments with Gareth Edwards himself, to be 350 feet. It doesn't take research to know that.
