How successful will this movie be? How will the media take it?

A big thing I was afraid of for awhile was how the public would treat the movie and it's most loyal fans. I'm still very afraid of how that will pan out. I believe there are two possibilities for how this will end up for us. One, everybody acts like it's the only Godzilla that has ever existed and it's a remake of the '98 film and will act like they've always been fans, and it will be ruined by kids,kids shows, and sh*t. Two, it will go unnoticed and we will be ridiculed by everyone (which happens in both outcomes for different reasons) for being into a movie that didn't do well. Personally option one scares me more, and quite frankly pisses me off! I could care less if we had more fans, we need true fans, not bandwagon fans. Anybody feel the same way, or a different way?

sorry mattzilla115, godzilla needs bandwagon fans because he has to grow in popularity. he might be a big monster, but hes not big in popularity. dont worry about this, its only good for the francise and think about it, you will have more g fan friends.

I honestly think this film will ignite the Godzilla fan-base in America. Americans want to see action, destruction, fighting, and well this movie will have all of that. America only has one Godzilla film under it's belt and that's Zilla, and that wasn't even the real Godzilla. I think this is a new beginning for the king and by no means should they ever stop making movies. Hopefully this will be his rebirth and is only just the beginning of many great new Godzilla films

"When someone adopts a popular point of view for the primary purpose of recognition and/or acceptance by others." -Urban Dictionary "a party, cause, movement, etc., that by its mass appeal or strength readily attracts many followers" -Dictionary.com Bandwagon fans are fans that join because it's popular, not for what it actually is. I have no problem for fans that respect "veteran fans" or at least correct them, I don't like know-it-all band wagon fans, or it-just-came-out band wagon fans. When you are in middle school that means alot to you to have something of your own, that is sacred.
