AdminSpaceGodzillaMay-16-2013 10:54 PMWe've got a topic asking which Godzilla monster had the worst design and purpose, so I thought I'd ask a similar question, but asking what everyone thinks is the coolest Godzilla monster besides Godzilla himself.
For me, my all time favorite monster besides Godzilla has always been [b]Gigan[/b]. He is one of the Monsters I feel was short-changed many times when facing Godzilla. I think given a realistic scenario, [b]Gigan[/b] could very well come close to putting an end to Godzilla's reign. A Giant cyborg with scythe blades for hands, a buzz-saw on his chest, an Alien energy projectile and the ability to teleport and fly! Suffice to say, [b]Gigan[/b] is one bad mother.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-18-2013 4:47 PMI would have to go with Destroyah. That's my personal favorite movie and my second favorite monster. Destroyah very nearly did kill Godzilla and his body is composed of Godzilla's largest known weakness, micro-oxygen. Plus, Destroyah is like an infestation. Imagine if Destroyah and Godzilla were real, what if Godzilla lost? Destroyah would revert back to a smaller form and then reproduce rapidly. Destroyah would eliminate humanity in a matter of weeks. Gigan is also a favorite of mine, though.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-22-2013 4:56 AMI'd have to go with Mechagodzilla because other than being Godzilla's mechanical counterpart, he's just friggin' armed to the teeth and IS one of the few monsters that was TOO close to killing Godzilla.
The other one has to be King Ghidorah, simply because he's Godzilla's archrival.

I liked MG as a villain, when he was loaded on on firepower...but I also like MG as a hero in the newer ones when people climbed into it and fought off Godzilla.
Destroyah is just a badass. One of the largest and most powerful villains he's ever fought. Destroyah also had that awesome demonic look to him.

MemberMothra LarvaeMay-27-2013 3:26 AMi have to say that i have a soft spot for Anguirus. I mean, in the older movies he was Godzilla's fighting companion and best friend. As well as him i also have a special place in my heart for Rodan because again being an ally and friend of the older Godzilla we know as being the defender of Japan and of earth. Don't get me wrong Gigan is great and all but i think he is a bit evil to be my favorite monster other than the King himself. Also King Ceaser from the old Godzilla V.s. Mecha Godzilla would have to be up there. What can i say, I have a weak spot for the good guys. Gigan and MG as well as Destroyah are some of the coolest monsters but again i don't usually like the villains.

MemberMothra LarvaeJun-18-2013 7:23 PMMy favorite has always been Manda. It looks beautiful in Final Wars and has a very cool scene in Destroy All Monsters. I didn't get to see Atragon until after I got married, so I was thrilled I had a "Manda movie" I never saw yet.

MemberMothra LarvaeJul-23-2013 12:02 PMI really don't have a favorite thats not Godzilla, I choose which monsters I like more than others. I find the more powerful and more ferocious looking ones more awsome. For example I perfer Battra to Mothra. But my standards on whats too much, on my top favorites is Gigan 2004 but the chainsaw hands were overdoing it a bit. The monsters that are on my top favorites are the only few monsters able to kick Godzilla's ass. Gigan 2004, Gigan,Destroyah, Mechagodzilla, Kiryu, Keizer Ghidorah, and Spacegodzilla. P.S. I like those monsters put in list together equaly.

1. Ghidorah
2. Gigan
3. Anguirus
