Tamashii's official website has announced their next Godzilla figure and released the first image of the S.H. MonsterArts 2017 Godzilla. Based on the upcoming anime film, Godzilla: Monster Planet, Gormaru Island reports that the figure will be $90 (9,936 yen).
Although the 2017 Godzilla is expected to be the largest incarnation yet, Gormaru Island also points out that this figure will not stand taller than the S.H. MonsterArts Shin Godzilla. The first image mimics the latest poster for the film:
The S.H. MonsterArts 2017 Godzilla will be available this December.
Godzilla: Monster Planet stars the voice talents of Mamoru Miyano (Mobile Suit Gundam 00), Takahiro Sakurai (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), Kana Hanazawa (.hack//Quantum) Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan), Tomokazu Sugita (Attack on Titan) and Junichi Suwabe (Space Dandy). The film is directed by Kobun Shizuno & Hiroyuki Seshita (Knights of Sidonia) from a screenplay by Gen Urobuchi (Kamen Rider Gaim).
