MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 1:21 PMThis is probably the most accurate drawing of the new Godzilla.
I know it's just a silhouette but it's pretty close.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 1:24 PMthe head seems to be based on the 2012 comic con teaser sillhouette because the neck in the drawing is too thick, in the offical trailer the neck seems to be more slimmer.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 1:28 PMYeah, but still it's very close.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 2:55 PMThe arms are a tad small, but who knows? We haven't seen the full design yet!
That's an awesome drawing either way! I like the dorsal fins especially. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 7:05 PMI know people are complaining about the arms, but this is a silhouette. And because of that there is no distinct detail or way to show how it would be. All we're seeing is the wrist to the fingers because the rest of the arm is hidden.
As for the picture, the outline is very close. I like the way this Godzilla's back is.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 8:35 PMI don't see this as being "the most accurate" of anything regarding the new Godzilla, to be honest. That posture is not what the new trailer depicted (and I know that because I have a copy of it in 1080p on my desktop right now) and if this silhouette were really being done Godzilla would be falling flat on his face given his depicted bulk in the trailer. He has a forward lean, true, but not this much nor that far over his own feet. He leans at the waist, not from the feet all the way to the head.
The spines on his back too are too large and don't follow the real Godzilla's shape very well at all. Again, I know because I have the frame of the trailer paused with a lightning flash with Godzilla's back and spines illuminated for me to compare against the picture. They're similar, yes, but not what you'd call "the most accurate."
It's a nice fan attempt to convey his shape, but ultimately I'm not seeing anything about it which stands out as impressive or "the most accurate." I'll prefer the trailer to this picture any day.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-05-2014 8:59 PMYou proably are right but if you look back when T-rex was discovered they put him upright and they discovered that in that posture his back would break. If Godzilla stood up more his back would also break. Also it's kind of hard to see the spines in the trailer because of the top of the mask. But I could be completely wrong and you could be completely right. It's just my opinion.
