Think back, way back to when you saw your first Godzilla movie. What made you a fan of Godzilla initially? Was it the look of Godzilla himself? Was it the story? What made you a fan? Let us know by replying below!

I will be honest. I was physically and emotionally abused as a child. Godzilla films helped me escape. I was also sick constantly. I did not go outside. I could not play with other children. Godzilla was an outlet for me.
I saw the original Godzilla in the early 70's on "Creature Feature" on channel 32, Chicago. It was the English Version with Raymond Burr. I loved all of it, but I remember being captivated by the final death scene when Serizawa gave his life to kill Godzilla with the Oxygen Destroyer. Awesome.

It was in 2011 and I was 6 and the first Godzilla film I saw was 1998 Goji. From then on, I've been a loyal fan to the King of the Monsters and it will always be honor to be one.
I have been a Godzilla fan since the day my mom introduced me to the King of the Monsters, he is the best along with Mothra who stands up for the planet.
My very first Godzilla was the original with Raymond Burr, that was the one that got me hooked

I was brought into Godzilla when I first saw the 1998 Godzilla movie (yes that one), I was around 5 yrs old and this was 14 yrs ago and I actually liked it...but I was only 5 and it wasn’t till later that i learned it was a insult to the Godzilla franchise. The first movie that got me into monsters and giant Kaiju was both the Original 1933 King Kong and the Peter Jackson King Kong remake, I fondly remember watching both films at home and at the cinema respectively. Watching a giant gorilla fight a trex, climb skyscrapers and have a fascination with a human has shaped me into the Kaiju fan I am now and has literally changed my life. Then the first True Godzilla movies I saw were Godzilla 2000, Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. And the Original 1954 Gojira, Then the Heisei and Showa films came later. The memories of watching those films still touch me to this day. I was watching not just a man in a suit, but a icon of japan who went from destroyer of worlds to protector of humanity, this has launched my love of special effects, Giant monsters battling each other and cinema altogether. Then my fandom of Godzilla died down for a 1 or 2, until I heard the announcement of a new big budget, American Adaptation of Godzilla was coming and I was excited, Finally! We’re getting a new Godzilla movie and one that promises to erase all memories of the 1998 Roland Emmerich Abomination. The hype was real, as here and there, there were leaked photos, behind the scenes, trailers and Images revealing what the film will be like. I was in 7th grade, the best yr for me in Middle school, and the film couldn’t have come out any better time as I was entering my teenage yrs, my fandom and love for Kaiju has expanded a lot and the film lived up to my expectations (eh sort of). I’m Glad of being a Godzilla/Kaiju fan since it has helped shap and change my life forever, Long Live the king.

A true fan can acknowledge the bad while still appreciating and cherishing the good.

I watched the Godzilla (2014) movie and I was amazed, I just thought Godzilla was badass. Curiously, I watched that movie around the time Godzilla KOTM was in theaters, and since it was the sequel I went to watch it, and I loved the titans, especially Mothra, who is my favorite, so I'm a relatively new fan because I've been a fan since May 2019.

When I was a young kid back in the 70s, they used to air Godzilla movies on Saturday afternoons. I was always fascinated with the look of Godzilla. I also thought his roar was the coolest thing I had ever heard.
I first saw Godzilla in Godzilla 2010. But i really became a fan just a few months ago.
My love of dinosaurs lead me to Godzilla and it was a wrap after that! Dope look and abilities, especially the other monsters!
I became a fan when I was about 4. I used to watch the original raymond burr version and then later as I got older, growing up around Washington DC, I'd watch them on channel 20 (anyone remember captain 20?). My best memory had to be back in the 70s when dad took me to see Godzilla vs the Mechagodzilla at the drive in. I hated the Matthew Broderick movie

Of course, it's a big monster stomping the city that is waht made me a godzilla fan :D but there is something too that made me a godzilla fan..... his old films.

I became a mega G fan shortly after seeing the 2014 film. I'm not too good at explaining things, but I've always been fascinated with giant monsters; It really helps me escape.
excellent question, thanks for asking. I remember seeing an ad for kotm when I went to the theatres to watch the most recent how to train your dragon movie, and I realized I knew practically nothing about the monster (Not even how many films were in monsterverse) so when I got home I put "Godzilla" into the search bar. I was so enamoured I went to see kotm a week later. that's my story.
